Review Centre: Jazz Bands

"Miss Dolores and her excellent 'combo' played a selected repertoire for our wedding reception in December. We were impressed with the band's flexibility and quality of performance and of course Miss Dolores's beautiful and seemingly effortless singing. So many of our guests commented on the band and congratulated us on choosing them. Miss Dolores looked stunning in a lovely sequinned dress. In planning for the event she was keen to give us what we wanted, offering us an extensive repertoire of American song book, swing, latin, lounge, jive, rock & roll and contemporary songs, based on our initial conversations, and said there were many more to choose from if we needed them! She also recorded the song we'd selected for our 'first dance' so we could practice to it beforehand, which was very helpful indeed. Thank you Miss Dolores, we loved the music and relaxed vibe you generated for us on our special day."

"Polished, professional and international! I booked them for our annual wine festival and they won the crowd over with their great selection of dance music and their unique sound. "After just completing out wedding in Positano, Italy, we can’t speak highly enough of the crew at Good Time Soul Foundation and would highly recommend them. Importantly, everyone loved the music played by Good Time, meaning we had everyone up dancing all through the night, really enjoying themselves. The band were incredibly lovely and accommodating and just wanted my wife and I to enjoy our special day. Despite the fact that it was raining heavily during the ceremony, they stood out in the rain and played an acoustic set for us (we didn’t even need to ask). We worked with Good Time Soul F. for a number of years as our wedding was delayed many times due to COVID (initially from May 2020 to May 2023). In all of our dealings with Good Time, they were very prompt to reply and incredibly flexible/accommodating. In fact, despite our venue being difficult around certain issues, Good Time Soul Foundation communicated with them in the background and just reverted when things were resolved. Finally, no request for Good Time Soul F. was too large. Upon our request, they sang specific songs in Italian, they learned new songs, excluded songs from their playlist, etc. "

I have seen a few singers who do Piaf and don't get the French way of delivering those songs. But you were very good, felt the song, a mixture of pain and human hope that Piaf had. ThreeWeeks revieuw TW rating 5/5 Bal Masque Edinburgh Fringe 2009 One won't see a more eclectic show this month than this cabaret rollercoaster. With elaborate costumes, excellent musicianship and some deadpan gags. It bills itself as Victorian but it's as if the Tardis has been employed to bring them closer to the now. Competing with the pounding drums from downstairs, this quartet create a powerful show with odes to freedom, love and loss and it would be churlish not to recommend this with utmost vim. "

"Essential for these moments It was love at first sight. We'd seen their videos on Instagram and knew that for a day like our wedding, it was essential to have a team like this. And we weren't wrong! The planning and coordination were super simple; they adapted to our requests and offered us a true concert within our religious ceremony. The guests effusively shared their surprise and positive feedback, and we agreed completely. The repertoire was extensive and varied: we could have gone for the classical, but the contemporary music in their hands sounded almost as angelic as Beethoven. A huge success, thank you!"
