"Blag were fantastic at our Burns night celebration last night, they were very flexible with our timings and played two brilliant sets. The communication beforehand was great which really put me at ease before they arrived. Both sets were so great that they managed to get almost everyone on the dance floor all night! I would have no hestitation in recommending Blag and look forward to booking them for our next event"

"Cats Claw stood out in the promo presentations. We started out with high anticipation.... we ended with expectations exceeded! All-round 5 stars for the practical, professional, and logistical stuff. 6+ stars for personality and friendliness:) 10 stars for the reciprocal engagement with the floor and the mood. I've worked at festival stages with ceilidh bands (I booked CC for this wedding) and CC are a group that just kept giving. Be clear about your needs and they will meet them. The feedback and accolades from the wedding couple and guests were great... and also some neighbours who listened in! Job done... thanks Cats Claw. "

"Wow, what a wonderful evening! Last Friday night was so much fun and it was such a real pleasure to collaborate with you all at Cat's Claw. It was a magical night and it was lovely to see the two worlds of music come together so successfully. Our musicians from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales very much enjoyed working with you all and it was great to hear that you too all had a great time. I also think that from the audience's reaction that everyone who was present also very much enjoyed the evening. In particular, my Mum absolutely LOVED the evening and was blown away by hearing all of the music that she loves so much played so brilliantly! I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. "The Annasach Ceilidh Band made the evening of our wedding in The Netherlands unforgettable, motivating Dutch and French feet alike to dance the Scottish steps. Even my 62-year-old aunt was on her feet all evening and remarked at the end that from now on, she only wants Scottish weddings. The band also dealt very professionally with some unforeseen circumstances, rebooking their own flights when their original flights were cancelled, taking a lot of stress away from us. I will happily recommend them for any wedding or party in Scotland or abroad, and look forward to visiting one of their Ceilidhs in Edinburgh when we next find ourselves there!"

"Chloe and the country band were outstanding from start to finish. They played a very commercial country set that event the folks who weren’t that into country were up dancing! "I must be honest I had never been involved in finding and/or booking a band for an event, so this was a first for me - and it was my dad's 60th so I really wanted something special. Joubert and his wife (who seemed to be in charge of the Sound Engineering side of things) were very accommodating and there were little-no issues. The sound quality was great - his voice is great - and no request seemed too much to ask (they did everything with a smile on their faces). We tried to give as many song requests to them at least a week before the time as possible - and they seemed very appreciative of that. They did go the extra mile in the sense that the party actually only seemed to kick off when they were supposed to wind things up - but they volunteered to stay for longer just before my dad asked me if they could, and so they did. The event turned out to be a big success and I wanted to thank Joubert and Juanita for the vibe they injected into a special day for us as a family. Dankie julle"

"I booked Blag to play for my wedding and I was astonished by their ability to play almost any genre of music. They have a really lively act and are very down-to-earth, polite and professional to work with. It was clear that they really love playing music and their energy and enthusiasm infused the whole evening. The wedding reception was running late with the speeches and food, so Blag wandered around the tables playing violin and guitar acoustically before they played their evening set….It was magical. If I ever get married again, Blag will be my band of choice!!!"
