"We stopped by to see Miss Pearl do her Paloma Faith tribute act at the Milbourne Arms in Carlisle, last night. Miss Pearl was on point, singing all of Paloma's hits and some of her less known songs. She has an excellent voice and also did some of her vintage songs aswell. It was a thoroughly enjoyable night and we even had a dance. We will hopefully see Miss Pearl again soon, as we want to book her for an up-and-coming private party."

"The Rebel Outlaws were absolutely incredible!! We loved every minute of having them at our wedding! Their sound was perfect in our venue and they played all the right songs to keep our guests entertained! "

"We were lucky to have this fantastic music at our wedding, from the moment we arrived, with some background music while we welcomed our guests, to the DJ service during the party. We're not big fans of “typical” wedding music, but all we had to do was ask and send them some songs that were more to our taste, and they understood us right away. They were fantastic and everyone at the party, from the youngest to the oldest, got up and had fun. They were memorable, and everything went smoothly, without a hitch. Thank you so much for making our day so much more special!"

"Just a fabulous evening rockin' to this band at a 50th Wedding Anniversary for my parents-in-law. They really looked the part, were fabulous musicians, they played 3 sets, were very flexible and wanted to ensure they were playing the songs we all wanted. As a result everybody thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the dance floor was packed all night. "

"L’efficacité de la musique dans les cinq films de Quentin Tarantino a beaucoup à voir avec la façon dont il perçoit la musique. Tarantino pense que les chansons en général fonctionnent comme des films miniatures. Il regarde la musique comme un moyen de prolonger les intrigues de ses films. La bande originale a la responsabilité non seulement de donner le ton de la scène, mais aussi d'apporter de la clarté aux émotions qui ne sont pas pleinement exprimées par les personnages. Tout cela fonctionne de manière transparente parce que Tarantino entend d'abord la chanson, puis écrit une scène autour d'elle. Il n'est donc pas surprenant que la musique ait un impact si remarquable dans ses films. Comment la musique affecte-t-elle la façon dont on perçoit les films de Tarantino ? Il est vrai que toute musique fera réagir le spectateur émotionnellement, mais ce qui compte pour Tarantino, c'est que, la plupart du temps, la musique produit ce qu'il perçoit comme l'impact émotionnel «approprié» sur une scène. Par exemple, si quelque chose d'autre que "Stuck in the Middle With You" avait été choisi pour accompagner la scène "du coupage d’oreille" dans Reservoir Dogs, le public n'aurait peut-être jamais connu les tendances sadiques de Mr Blonde. La clé du succès de Tarantino en évitant la musique perçue comme juste «suffisante» est qu'il écrit tous ses scénarios de film avec une musique spécifique à l'esprit. En étant déterminé dans sa sélection, Tarantino s'assure que la musique de Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol.1 et Kill Bill Vol. 2 joue un rôle actif dans la structure narrative du film et, tout aussi important, qu'il fait quelque chose dont le public voudra se souvenir. "I just want to say a BIG thank you for last Saturday. Dunstable Live was a huge success and that was in part due to your band. We had over 1000 people attend which as the weather was so horrendous was a surprise. But everyone left with smiles on their faces."

"East Coast Rockers were awesome at our psrents anniversary party. The communications and organisation from them was brilliant from booking to the clearing away at the end. Their performance was professional, with lots of energy and got everyone up dancing. Our guests really enjoyed them and said what a great night they made it. I would highly recommemd them. "

"There’s more to Johnny Ticktin than meets the eye. Well-versed in the blues, having once served as lead guitar player for the legendary Louisiana Red, the open-minded Ticktin is a sponge, soaking up the subtle six-string nuances and intricacies of a multitude of genres—from surf to classic R&B, swing and even Mambo—on his eighth album with The Headhunters, That’s All I Need. It would feel right at home in any rough-and-tumble roadhouse. The title is borrowed from a song, covered here in all its dark, swampy glory, off Magic Sam’s 1967 iconic electric blues marvel West Side Soul. Watery, backwoods ripples of Sam’s tremolo guitar style and seductive rhythms meander through Creedence Clearwater Revival’s mysterious kudzu on Johnny & The Headhunters’ version, as Ticktin and company paddle up a lazy river of Bayou groove. Just as fluent in nasty rockabilly, they thrive in the sweltering heat of the 1957 obscurity “Chicken House,” giving it a warm buzz and making it rumble and swagger, while the lascivious, infectious funk of “Body and Fender” – a Doc Pomus/Duke Robillard joint originally built for soul crooner Johnny Adams – shakes all over and ogles the female form. A rousing, boogie-woogie version of Lowell Fulsom’s Chess Records’ hit “Rock ‘Em Dead” is wonderfully shambolic, and Ticktin rides the lightning of the Link Wray instrumental “Ace of Spaces” like a champ, gleefully wheeling through edgy garage-rock riffs with appropriate vim and vigor. What feel he and his band have for this material. There is not the slightest bit of indifference to it anywhere on this record. Not that they need it, but help arrives in the form of keyboardist Tam Sullivan, who wraps smoky, sensual organ and wraiths of piano around a soulful remake of Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Lead Me On,” and singer Liz Springer, who joins her brazen vocals to Ticktin’s in the cheeky, but charming, duet “Watch and Chain.” And, with the solid machinery of a good backing band at work behind him, Ticktin can just let loose – witness the slide-guitar fury of their cover of Elmore James’ “Shake Your Money Maker.” For aficionados of tasteful guitar work and music that time shouldn’t have forgotten, this is what you need. —Peter Lindblad SPREAD THE NEWS! "Shout out to Jason for making my hubby's 60th birthday celebrations so much more enjoyable. Any song requests we had Jason was happy to make our choice of music happen. We added karaoke and Jason was more than happy to share the stage and mic. Jason was on time and had a great set-up, lights, posters and his guitar, sang and got the guests singing. Thank you Jason. "Band super!!!! Cercavamo una band che creasse un'atmosfera, vintage, energica, divertente ma nello stesso tempo raffinata. I ragazzi sono da subito stati disponibilissimi e trasparenti su quello che la loro band ci avrebbe offerto: ogni promessa è stata mantenuta e le aspettative superate. La band propone un repertorio vintage ma anche moderno. Hanno un sound che spacca e l'atmosfera si scalda subito. Scegliendoli non animerete soltanto il vostro matrimonio, ma regalerete ai vostri ospiti un vero e proprio concerto! Due fiati, chitarra, basso e batteria, cosa chiedere di più! La simpatia ovviamente: i selfportrait sono uno spasso, con un'ironia veramente eccezionale! L'unico rammarico al nostro matrimonio è che saremmo andati avanti a sentirli suonare per ore, e invece il tempo è stato tiranno. Hanno fatto ballare tutti, compresa gente che di solito non muove un passo. Si sono prestati con simpatia alle sorprese preparate dai nostri ospiti e hanno saputo fare fronte a una serata complicata da ritardi e cambi di programma repentini dovuti al mal tempo. Ogni momento animato da loro dall'aperitivo al dopocena è stato fantastico. E anche la playlist passata in sottofondo durante la cena era azzeccatissima. Grazie davvero ragazzi. Senza di voi non sarebbe stato lo stesso."
