Live wedding bands bring an energy to evening receptions that playlists cannot match. Professional groups near you are experienced at working with local venues, managing sound levels for different room sizes, and keeping guests of all ages dancing. Most acts perform two or three sets of around 45 minutes, with DJ music filling the breaks, and offer extras like acoustic ceremony performances or learning your first dance song.
Start by matching band size to your venue. Duos and trios suit smaller or more intimate spaces, while four to six-piece lineups fill larger reception rooms with a fuller sound. Check demo videos to make sure the band's energy and style match the atmosphere you want. It is also worth asking about the full package: most professional acts include PA equipment, lighting, and MC services as standard, but ceremony music, extended sets, and additional musicians may be priced separately. Bands based near your venue often offer more competitive rates due to lower travel costs.
For Wedding bands in Aberdeen, fees run from £170 to £2,550+, with an average cost of £800. Band size is the biggest factor in pricing, followed by performance duration and time of year. Peak season dates from late spring through early autumn tend to carry higher rates, while midweek or off-season bookings can stretch your budget further. Ask about package deals if you want ceremony music or a late-night DJ set alongside the main performance.
The average price for Wedding Bands available in Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom is £800 (GBP). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Iron Broo Ceilidh Band
"A Perfect Wedding Band!
When I proposed to my now wife back in 2017, I was adamant that we would have a great ceilidh band for the wedding, showing my new Hungarian family a true taste of Scottish culture whilst having a great time. When I saw the advert for Iron Broo and how they were ranked one of the top ceilidh bands in the area I was sceptical at first having never heard them play. Then I was invited to a wedding that they played 4 months prior to my own: after hearing their 3 piece I knew my wedding would be in safe hands!
All through the buildup to the day Charlie was a great help, using his knowledge and experience to advise how to run the evening - he even transcribed a bagpipe tune for my great grandfather to play on the night!
On the day, the band were outstanding! Despite a small wedding the band with their charm and wit managed to get people up to dance and put on a tremendous show! The personal touches were carefully noted as the Orcadian Strip the Willow’s music was even tailored to incorporate Hungarian folk music that put a big smile on the new in-laws faces!
I could not recommend Iron Broo more to play at any function, they really are what they advertise and will now need to create an event just to have them back!
Forever grateful.
Mr and Mrs Borthwick."
Danger Zone Wedding Band
"Their love for music is infectious,a real buzz from start to finish. Really get the house rocking with well chosen sing along songs that leave you with a wide smile and high five feeling."
Annasach Ceilidh Band
"The Annasach Ceilidh Band made the evening of our wedding in The Netherlands unforgettable, motivating Dutch and French feet alike to dance the Scottish steps. Even my 62-year-old aunt was on her feet all evening and remarked at the end that from now on, she only wants Scottish weddings. The band also dealt very professionally with some unforeseen circumstances, rebooking their own flights when their original flights were cancelled, taking a lot of stress away from us. I will happily recommend them for any wedding or party in Scotland or abroad, and look forward to visiting one of their Ceilidhs in Edinburgh when we next find ourselves there!"
La Dolce Vita Swing Collective
"Not knowing what to expect I was ready for anything on a warm September night in Edinburgh.
This was a Sunday night too and the setting was complete in the nightclub atmosphere that is the Dirty Martini lounge.
This band can swing, bass and drums groove sweetly while sax and piano trade solos making this a full sound like there are more on stage. Tony Delicata on vocals blends his Italian roots with Volare, On An Evening In Roma and O Solo Mio as we were escorted to warm Italy with cool sounds and cocktails to suit.
The second half opened with I Wish I Knew, an instrumental from the days when Cinema was a TV series before Tony returned with more signature arrangements. By now the audience were itching to dance and with peaks like Mack The Knife and (Theme From) New York New York they were at one with the band. The closing title song was a creative masterstroke and a deserved ovation followed."
Acoustic VibeZ Band
"These guys are awesome! I was so nervous about keeping my surprise from my girlfriend but they helped create what I had imagined - they were so professional and easy to work with and sounded great!"
GeO Gospel Choir
"What an amazing experience it was to listen and watch the choir. I loved them and I’m obsessed with them all. They were everything I hoped for and more. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for that wow factor for their wedding day.
