A performance space of at least 4 x 4 meters required for the four or five piece band. More room is required for the eight- piece band.
10 amp power supply is required to to run the sound system and two power boards.
3 car parking spaces onsite or as close to the event if possible.

We bring our own PA system to quartet and quintet gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
For larger corporate events for the eight-piece band, hire of a sound engineer and PA system and lighting may be required. This depends on the size of the venue and number of guests. Happy discuss this with you.

Yes, we can play Spotify music before, after and between our sets. Happy to tailor the playlist to your event.

One of the band’s most special gigs was the Kalbar Sunflower Festival corporate fundraising event for cancer research, where it was wonderful to contribute to such an important cause. The Melody Graves band also loves working closely with clients to understand their vision and explore how the band can add that something extra to an event, from creating the right atmosphere to making special celebrations truly memorable. Performing on a large stage to an enthusiastic crowd at Woodford Folk Festival was another unforgettable highlight. Performing Fever Productions New Orleans show at The Grand on Ann venue in Brisbane, was also a standout, with the venue’s atmosphere and close proximity to the audience provided the perfect setting for the band’s music.

All the band members have formally studied music or jazz. Some of us met through the Brisbane jazz music scene, others through university.

Arrive 1 hour before the doors open to set-up.
Normally perform 2 x 45 minute or 2 x 60 minute sets and can adapt this to suit event needs.

Yes, we can play outside but require shade, a flat surface and power supply close to the performance area.

We specialize in jazz and swing music and are happy to discuss the set list with clients to ensure favorites are included and to also understand the vibe of your event. We can learn specific jazz songs before the event but usually limit this to three songs.

Yes, we are happy to travel outside of Brisbane to perform at your event. Travelling by vehicle is suitable for travelling within the South East Queensland and Northern NSW regions. We can travel further distances and can discuss options with you e.g., longer car travel, flights etc.
