"I first witnessed The DooLallys years ago at a kind of impromptu kitchen session. I think deeply soulful is the best way to describe their mix of pipes, strings, and song - seamless switches between O'Carolanesque 18th Century rave style to sweet balladeering, along with true and loving versions of traditional Irish music tunes, all layered with a knowing hedge school poetic sensibility. "

"Hi Kev, It's Angie and Niall, Louis Phaethon, 11th June. How you doing? Sorry we never got a chance to meet up again after the wedding as we were only there to the Sunday and most of the guests left on Saturday so it was all a bit hectic. We just wanted to tell you how much we loved you playing the pipes at our wedding. You really did make the day extra special and even though we were in Cyprus it felt like a true Scottish/Irish wedding. Everyone thought you were great and a big thank you from all of us for playing not only my favourite Scottish tunes but also some great Irish ones as well. "Jason is incredible! From performance, to accommodation, personality, etc. I believe that he is the MOST perfect person we could have picked for our ceremony. I wanted to secretly hire a piper for my wife and I's wedding ceremony in the Scottish Highlands. Working with Jason, he was able to travel, accommodate to our needs and communicate with me to arrange everything to be as smooth as possible with 0 bumps in the road. Jason became a very special part of our day and is someone we still continue to talk about even after our ceremony. He has an incredible history, is an overall incredible person to spend some time with and is very talented - being open to answer any and all questions, comments, etc. Thank you so much again Jason for everything and we hope to see you again next time we visit Scotland"

When I spoke about you during my speech you were received with rapturous applause and afterwards the grooms uncle who is based in Nova Scotia was very enthusiastic about his conversation with you later. As you said to me on the day, the venue was magnificent and I hope that the staff showed you a level of hospitality that was acceptable.
