Review Centre: Bagpipers

"Fantastic, Fun, Festive & Part of the Family Brock and Toni are gems...they pour their hearts and souls into their performance. They came to my son's Confirmation brunch. They entered through the side gate, so amidst all the talking and laughing, our guests started to hear the glorious sound of bagpipes. He brought everyone to a halt and many to tears! It was such a surprise and it brought such a special feeling to the event. Brock and Toni are wonderful people, and now they are part of the family"

"Before our mother passed, her wish was to have a bagpiper play Amazing Grace. Johnny did so much more! As we arrived at the cemetery, he was playing hymns at a little distance. As the pallbearers brought the casket to the graveside, he played her favorite Amazing Grace, and following the dedication of the grave, he played Going Home. Johnny explained to me earlier about the Celtic belief that the soul would stay with the body until after the service, the soul would be led away by the bagpiper to Go home. It was all beautiful and respectful abd would have made my mother very happy. The family was very pleased. My husband (who has no Scottish Ancestors) said afterward that he would like a bagpiper for his burial! Thank you so much for helping to make a difficult day an uplifting experience."

Thank you so very much! I can't wait to come to Dunedin, Florida and perform at the scottish island games. The 2025 World Pipe Band Championships, the Grade 2 winner was City of Dunedin Pipe Band, congratulations and good luck to them. Now that they are going to be going back this year to compete in grade one...good luck!

"Wedding day piping Andrew was superb. Nothing was too much trouble & suggested extra ways to make the day so very special. Andrews piping was simply awesome & he happily played requested music. I wouldn't hesitate to have Andrew play at another event & would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a piper to make their event special."

"Jonny scheduled with me the quickest & it felt like I already knew him as we communicated + arranged for the performance.. asked exactly what we were looking for or wanting & style of songs needed at what moments- collaborating with me for weeks prior to my gathering. Well he exceeded anything expected! Everything flowed beautifully~ also dressed well & graceful. Jonny came to play at my brothers memorial celebration and the kind of sound, space, vibe and connection he provided was far beyond what can be portrayed through words! Massively impressed, left in awe, We are beyond grateful for this man merging paths with us, honoring the spirits with who’s in body while sharing his gifts~ We will be contacting him in the future for sure he’s our guy • what a legend •"

"We had Stevie attend our wedding with his bagpipes and he was absolutely amazing, and we had so many guests comment how lovely and great he was! He played as our guests arrived at the church, played us out of the church and again played us into our wedding breakfast as well as doing a traditional toast! Stevie was very accommodating and a lovely chap to have at our wedding. We would recommend him to anyone thinking about having a bagpiper!"

"My family enjoyed the pleasure of having Johnny play at my mom & dads graveside service! I wanted to surprise my siblings and have Johnny start playing on 👍 The service was running late because we were waiting for my nephew driving in from MT and so Johnny had to leave twice to go to a nearby park to retune his pipes. My brother gave the opening prayer and then I spoke for a minute and then motioned for Johnny to start playing 👍 He began with “how great thou art” as he walked over to the graveside and everyone was touched to tears. 😢 The he played “Amazing Grace” at the headstone! Then after some family members spoke, he played a request for my dads birthday of “Danny Boy” and I know my mom loved Hallelujah but it wasn’t on his list and so I asked him if he could try it. It was short notice only a few days and Johnny nailed it!! It was a very special tribute and send off to our mom & dad and Johnny did a beautiful job and I won’t hesitate to recommend him for any family funeral!! It was perfect 👍 Thank You Johnny, from the bottom of my heart ❤️"

"Johnny is a fabulous piper! I hired him as a surprise for my husband's 70th Birthday party event at The Mercantile Restaurant in Midway. He played a great selection of songs, took pictures with us and finished with Happy Birthday. He is an excellent communicator, was on time, very professional and more than willing to accommodate our needs. The whole family (40 in all) was dazzled by his performance and is still talking about it! I highly recommend Johnny! It was a night to remember. Thank you!"
