Then we broke for the pledgr of allegiance and a toast to all pilots that have died after that, he played TAPS America, the beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner the 310 veterans pilots in attendance stood and sang with his bagpipe America, the beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner I don't know what further tribute they could've given to this wonderful presentation"

"If you are looking for a unique, diverse musical sound for an occasion, then book The Achill Lads. They are exceptionally talented musicians with style/genres ranging from traditional Irish/occasion/church music, piping, folk and singing. The variety of instruments they can play is astonishing! Their professionalism is second to none and I have been lucky to perform with them throughout the years. We were very honoured to have them perform at our Wedding last year and they were amazing! "Johnny is simply incredible! I am an elementary school music teacher who came to him with a wild proposal to accompany my choir of 96 children on a Scottish folk song, The Skye Boat song. He met with my assistant directors and I to come up with a plan of how to coordinate the flow of the song and balance the vocals and the pipes. He is an amazing collaborator and had a lot of great ideas of how to make it come together. He came to one of our rehearsals and was so gracious and so kind with the students. They absolutely loved interacting with him! Our whole community was enchanted with him when he played for the concert and opened for us and then performed the number we had worked on together. He is a very eloquent and engaging speaker and a master at his instrument! He’s one of those people who is just a joy to work with and we look forward to collaborating with him again on future musical projects!"

"Can not recommend Andy enough! Right from our inital contact, he was both friendly and professional. He went above and beyond and delivered a first class service leading up to and on the day of our Uncle's funeral. Everyone commented on Andy's outstanding performance and appearance. He certainly made a very sad and emotional day more bearable and left us feeling very proud and satisfied that we gave our Uncle the best possible send off that he deserved. "Johnny played at the graveside for my mom’s funeral, and he did an absolutely wonderful job. As soon as I requested a quote I receive a message and a phone call. He provided a lot of helpful information up front and was very professional. He was kind and caring throughout the process, and was always quick to respond. The performance was amazing! We could tell he was refined in his skills and everyone enjoyed the music and the emotion he brought to it. We even asked him to play a few more songs while our family did a small activity and he was more than willing to do it. So wonderful!"

"Tell us more: Me and my husband had the absolute honour of having Andrew at our wedding in Northumberland. All the guests were extremely impressed and he played so beautiful. It was magical having him play while me and my bridesmaids walked down the aisle. He then played during cocktail hour entertaining guests. I highly recommend him. "My Mum's funeral service had to be shortened to 20 minutes, the attendees were limited, masked and sat apart - I still wanted to make the occasion a celebration of her life, memorable and significant and I'm so thankful for Andrew's involvement - without his impeccable performance and grand appearance there would have been no ceremony or gravitas to proceedings. Everyone commented on how good he was and I know my Mum would have loved how clearly and soulfully he played- the three pieces were all beautiful. Andrew was friendly, helpful and easy to deal with- going out of his way to accommodate my requests, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any occasion. (10 / 10) Fiona"

"John played for my father’s funeral which meant the world! He played at the church and at the reception. Very reasonably priced. Arrived early to the church! He is very prepared and organized. If I need a bagpiper again, I will for sure be giving him a call!"
