"Andrew played the bagpipes at my dads funeral, playing him out of his street into the the crematorium grounds then as he went inside the crematorium & then at the end when we came out. Songs included Flower of Scotland, Skye boat song, Amazing Grace, Auld Lang Syne. Andrew was amazing from his first contact until leaving us after the service, he was courteous, respectful & very professional. He also looked fabulous. Everyone said that his playing was incredible. We cannot thank him enough & would thoroughly recommend him to everyone looking for a piper. Rating Field: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Hi Andy, Wanted to drop you a line in appreciation of your fantastic performance yesterday. To see you looking so fabulous in Highland dress as we pulled up to the gates at Altrincham Crematorium and begin to play Lest we Forget, it was breathtaking. Followed by the Skye Boat Song, a song my Mum sang to her grandchildren when they were babies, it was delightful. Our driver opened our windows, the six of us (myself, sister and four brothers) listened in wonder as you played perfectly, how I wish my Mum could have been there, she would have just loved it. Thank you so, so much Andy, you made mine and my families memories of the day so much more special. (10 / 10)"

"Andrew was absolutely amazing at my wedding from start to finish. He made my wedding day so much more special in memory of my grandad who was from Dundee. As soon as I heard him play me down from my room I was in tears but because it was so beautiful & gave me what I wanted, goosebumps up my arms & a feeling of having my grandad with me. He is the best priced around & he does not rush you. I was blown away by him along with my guests. Highly recommend."

"Having a piper was incredibly important to us, not only for my husbands traditions but for our families heritage. Celebrating the old traditions, entwining them with a few of our own. Keith - the tears that rolled when I heard your bagpipe as I stood preparing to walk to the church from the bridal cottage garden at Birtsmorton Court. The pride I felt when you lead our wedding party from the church to the medieval moated Manor House & the sense of regal, queen like status you made me feel as you led us to our wedding breakfast. Our first meal as husband and wife, king and queen of our life in the secret garden and great barn. Thank you, thank you for filling my memories with the sounds of our ancestral home, with the beauty of Bonny Scotland at my my birth home in the shire. I am so grateful for us having you as our piper, we were honoured. Thank you. "

"I first witnessed The DooLallys years ago at a kind of impromptu kitchen session. I think deeply soulful is the best way to describe their mix of pipes, strings, and song - seamless switches between O'Carolanesque 18th Century rave style to sweet balladeering, along with true and loving versions of traditional Irish music tunes, all layered with a knowing hedge school poetic sensibility. "

"I know of no better way to pay tribute to someone than with the pipes. Johnny is as fine a piper and as fine a gentleman as one could hope for. He was the consummate professional and made sure he knew exactly what I wanted for my Mum's memorial service. Every note was gracefully expressed and flawlessly executed. It was the perfect send off. We had many comments as to how great he was. Our family has a long history with the pipes, and I am looking forward to a long relationship with Johnny!"

"True Talent - True Professional - Truly great Human-being! Our mother passed away unexpectedly and to our surprise her last written wishes for her funeral service included having a bagpiper. This was a pleasant surprise for our family, however, we didn't know where to start to secure one, (especially on a late Saturday night evening). Johnny Miner and his services had great reviews and his website and credentials were very impressive. I filled out the brief questionnaire, including the date and occasion - thinking I wouldn't hear back until the weekend was over, and to my surprise and great relief, Johnny called me right away and offered his condolences asking how he could help. He'll never know the weight he lifted from our shoulders by being so kind, compassionate, helpful ,and willing to offer his talents to fulfill our mother's dying wish. We opted for him to play as our mother was carried out of the funeral services and into the hurst as well as at the gravesite. By the time we were gathered at the cemetery, Johnny was already in position, dressed professionally in the traditional kilt and clothing showing the upmost respect to our mother and our grieving family members playing a medley of her favorite songs. If you are fortunate to book with Johnny Miner, your event will be enhanced and stress free. He knows what he is doing and allows you to take care of all of the other details in a difficult situation without a worry as to his part. Bagpipe music reaches the soul and emotions like no other instrument can. Thank you for sharing your passion and talents with our family."
