Review Centre: Bagpipers

"Professional Bagpipper I was browsing the site and low and behold I saw a great bagpiper that serves the Kansas Honor Flight here in Wichita, KS. Mr. John Bierens. Mr. Bierens is well known in this part of the country. When it comes time for the Kansas Honor Flight returning veterans to get their WELCOME HOME, the sound of the pipes played by Mr. Bierens is what most folks around here call the "SOUND OF FREEDOM". Mr. Bierens is a great master of the pipes but he also dresses for the occasion. It's a perfect mix of the sound of the pipes and the uniform he wears that makes the atmosphere so patriotic. Mr. Bierens leads the procession of 100+ Kansas veterans through what we call our Patriotic Gauntlet to their waiting families. Mr. Bierens is a great BAGPIPER!! The Kansas Honor Flight has done 93 flights and I think Mr. Bierens was the first bagpiper we used and has been with him ever since. Can't go wrong when you use the best! "I hired Eugene to pipe at two Burns Suppers I had organised in Kyiv. He arrived early so that he could tune his pipes and was immaculately dressed in his highland attire. He did an excellent job in piping in the guests and Haggis as well as a lively rendition of highland tunes to entertain the company. I would have no hesitation in recommending Eugene to any future clients. "

"I first witnessed The DooLallys years ago at a kind of impromptu kitchen session. I think deeply soulful is the best way to describe their mix of pipes, strings, and song - seamless switches between O'Carolanesque 18th Century rave style to sweet balladeering, along with true and loving versions of traditional Irish music tunes, all layered with a knowing hedge school poetic sensibility. "

"Having a piper was incredibly important to us, not only for my husbands traditions but for our families heritage. Celebrating the old traditions, entwining them with a few of our own. Keith - the tears that rolled when I heard your bagpipe as I stood preparing to walk to the church from the bridal cottage garden at Birtsmorton Court. The pride I felt when you lead our wedding party from the church to the medieval moated Manor House & the sense of regal, queen like status you made me feel as you led us to our wedding breakfast. Our first meal as husband and wife, king and queen of our life in the secret garden and great barn. Thank you, thank you for filling my memories with the sounds of our ancestral home, with the beauty of Bonny Scotland at my my birth home in the shire.
