"If Dr. John and Tom Waits leave you wanting more, lend your ear to one-of-a-kind Aussie artist Pugsley Buzzard, who assimilates their piano playing, singing and songwriting style into his own blues-jazz musical distillation. On this, his fourth solo CD since 2007’s Hammer These Tongs, Buzzard delivers an all-original set recorded in New Orleans, Melbourne and the Blue Mountains. The Aussie backing musicians are so hip to Buzzard’s swampy Crescent City-influenced grooves that it’s difficult to tell which tracks were recorded where. Complementing the Big Easy contingent of tenor and baritone saxophonist Jimmie Carpenter, trumpeter Antonio Gambrell, trombonist Craig Klein, double bassist Nathan Lambertson, guitarist John Fohl, drummer Charles Brewer and singer Irene Sage, is an equally talented band of top local players. The opening bars of the lead-in blues mambo instrumental ‘Cigarstore Indian’, on which Buzzard’s commanding piano echoes Professor Longhair, James Booker and Allen Toussaint all rolled into one, promises a bourbon-drenched musical trip to follow. Buzzard doesn’t disappoint, his gravelly Joe Cocker-by-way-of-Coco Robicheaux vocals and pulsating piano serving up a solid mix of New Orleans R&B from the Fats Domino styled ‘Dirty Kings’ and the inventive minor-key rave-up ‘Gumbo Boogie’, to the gris-gris-soaked, Night Tripper hoodoo funk of ‘Po’ Boy’, ‘Fire In The Hole’ and ‘Mischief’. The Dixieland flavoured ‘Sin City Lights’ gives way to ‘Salamanca Blues’ a solo instrumental displaying Buzzard’s mastery of stride piano. From the beginning, we felt supported and guided in a very professional and reassuring way. We received excellent advice on the musical selections for both the ceremony and the reception. The pianist was attentive to our preferences while also offering suggestions that improved the overall flow of the event. This balance between listening and expertise was truly appreciated. During the ceremony, the piano performance was incredibly emotional. The entrance music created a magical moment that we will never forget. The execution was flawless, and the timing was perfect throughout the entire ceremony. At the reception, the music continued to impress. The repertoire was elegant and adaptable, creating the perfect background for conversation while also adding a sophisticated touch to the atmosphere. She was warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. She not only helped us choose the perfect setlist, but also included songs that held a special meaning for us and even took the time to learn a song by a Polish artist especially for the occasion. That kind of dedication truly reflects her talent and professionalism. We couldn’t have been happier with the evening. "Amazing!! We were both so happy to have him at our wedding. He played all the songs that we wished for, and even played a bit longer than planned. Jahangir was very kind and interacted with the guests as well whether it was in person or through his music. We loved the ed Sheeran covers along with the classic 80s love songs that he also sang. Would definitely recommend him! "

"We used Clay Bitter for a big work party to bring in the New Year. His band was incredible. As a musician myself, I can honestly say they never missed a note. They pulled songs out that people requested effortlessly. I just witnessed a 28 year old guy go from singing Merle Haggard, to Guns N’ Roses, to Frank Sinatra. WHAT?!?! Definitely call this guy. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much Clay for making our event unforgettable "

"Super duo! Bravissimi e musica sempre al top! Tutto perfetto dall'inizio alla fine Andrea e Luca sono due professionisti, hanno saputo esaudire ogni nostra richiesta e sono andati oltre! Musica BELLISSIMA e COINVOLGENTE! Sono stati sempre disponibili prima dell'evento nel capire i nostri gusti, e questo è stato fondamentale per azzeccare i brani giusti per ogni momento del matrimonio. I nostri amici e familiari si sono divertiti tantissimo, tutti hanno particolarmente apprezzato la bravura di Andrea nel suonare il violino led, il sax e la chitarra divinamente! "Jahangir performed for one night at our Cafe since we had a musical night. Everyone loved his music and we had a full house the entire evening!
