"Brilliant night at the Brewery Tap. (Long may it survive). And long may Harmonica Lewinsky and his musical colleagues survive. Chas and Dave's Margate had the whole pub rockin' and almost rollin, The mixture of Cockney and Elvis (Costello and Presley) went down a treat. A great night was had by all."

"Brian White Quartet played for Durrell at the EAZA Directors day in the beautiful globe room at Maritime House. The icebreaker event was a huge success and guests from all around the world were thoroughly entertained by Brian and his charismatic band. They are incredibly talented, extremely professional and a delight to work with. I will not hesitate to book them again for further Durrell events. Thank you Brian for making the evening so special. "It was such a delight to have the wonderful Keziah perform for us at The George Payne as part of out VE Day Commemorations, and suffice to say, we were all absolutely blown away! To say Keziah understood the assignment would be a drastic understatement. From her fabulous vintage style dress to her timeless hair and make-up, Keziah knew exactly how to immerse her audience in the most effortless and professional way. All of this is second to her stunning voice, which captivated staff and customers alike. While we chose to work with Keziah for our 1940s theme, we are keen to have her back for another performance in the future. Thank you Keziah, we look forward to having you again!"

"Rosie was an absolute star. She was technically brilliant (beautiful voice) and when she was let down by the sound system completed her set unaccompanied. Her professionalism and un-flappability in the face of difficulty was very impressive. Would strongly recommend. "

"Friday 24th November 2023 - The Jazz Kings - Tweed Valley Jazz and Blues A superb gig to bring a fitting close to a year of top-flight music. ‘The Jazz Kings’ left us in no doubt why they are currently rated among the top outfits on the North Coast. Each of them – Nicole Parker-Brown on vocals, Peter Uppman on vocals and trumpet (sometimes almost at the same time), Gordon Matheson on guitar, Col Atkinson on bass and yet more vocals, and Jose McLaughlin on keyboards – is an accomplished performer in their own right, and in combination they are a musical powerhouse to be reckoned with. It was an evening of eclectic mix, from popular jazz standards, through blues arrangements that will be appearing on their latest album, to occasional dips into the classical realms, and a few nostalgic ‘pop’ reminiscences. Among the favourites were their own arrangements of evergreens such as ‘Night and Day,’ ‘All Of Me’, ‘Misty’, ‘Georgia On My Mind’ and ‘Making Whoopee’. Jose even gave a nod towards his earlier career as keyboard player and musical director of ‘Gerry and the Pacemakers’ with his updated arrangements of ‘Ferry Cross the Mersey’ and ‘Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying’. All in all, a great end to 2023, and the Club Committee took time at the end to wish all members and visitors a happy and safe Xmas and a prosperous New Year. If it promises music of the same quality as this past year, then we’ll have no complaints."

"Harmonica Lewinsky, half musician, half comedian, can't be filed easily under any one genre. There are no "rawk" anthems or jangly pop toons to guide you to a familiar sense of comfy numbness you may well be used to in your local music venue. Instead, you get a proper show. Someone - that's Phil Leiwy, crazy alchemist of alter-ego Lewinsky - has taken it upon himself to create a crisp set of upbeat, rhythmic gems played on guitar (choppy, jazzy, mellow), vocals (smooth, welcoming) and of course, a boxload of harmonicas (swanky, tuneful, engaging). But words alone seem unable to explain why, after a HL gig, you go home feeling as if you have been crane-lifted out of a ditch... If you haven't seen HL play, go and see for yourself, and let the performance into your life. Careful listening really helps: the lyrics to many of Phil's songs - including Gordon Brown (to the tune of the Stranglers' "Golden Brown") - are wry, clever and occasionally rude. Lovers of X-Factor stability or other social brainwashing techniques may leave feeling confused."

"From start to finish Thomas kept in contact with us. Thomas arrived well before time to set up and the staff and residents all enjoyed his performance with a few getting up to have a little dance. Thomas was also requested to visit some of the residents who are unable to leave their rooms to play a little tune for them. All in all Thomas delivered his performance beautifully which was enjoyed by all, he played all the greatest tunes which brought back many memories. Thank you Thomas for making the evening a special one and one to remember."

"It was our daughter's 15th birthday party and we love French culture. Mike turned up very early, was professional and courteous and played all that wonderful old French music. We'll get him back in a few years for our son's 15th birthday as well!"
