Review Centre: Jazz Pianists

"Yiddishkeit Klezmer Ensemble was everything we had hoped for. Communication before the party was always prompt and easy. They offered a variety choices for the size of band to work with our budget. There was a great variety of music to choose from, too. During the party the band really read the crowd, and communicated with us throughout the evening. They shifted with the mood of the party- roving around beforehand as guests were arriving, then playing jazz for the background during dinner, and then after dinner they got our guests up and dancing, teaching them how to do the steps! They are talented, professional, and really fun to work with! Plus they traveled quite far to play for us, with only a nominal travel charge. Highly, highly recommend! "

"Ed and Paul played at our drinks reception at the Beverley Barn on 10th Aug. They were very professional throughout the afternoon and we couldn't have asked for any more. Every detail of the event was carefully discussed, including the type of repertoire, the timing, and the atmosphere we wanted to create. During the event, the performance was simply outstanding. "Ed is an absolute pleasure to work with, and truly talented. From the moment we started emailing Ed, it was very clear how diligent, professional and passionate Ed is about his work - all of which came out in his beautiful playing on the day of our wedding. We had a few requests for Ed, all of which he was more than happy to accommodate and did so happily and with expert care - both in the church ceremony and reception drinks after. One of these requests was to rehearse before and then perform in the ceremony with a few of our friends a new piece lasting 6-7 minutes which was such a special moment for me and my wife, seeing our friends playing so beautifully with Ed on our special day. As well as excellent communication and being unfailingly accommodating, Ed plays incredibly well and it’s abundantly clear he can play all genres for any occasion. My wife and I know very little about music but it became quickly apparent that we were in great hands and so we were able to relax in the build-up to the wedding, trusting Ed completely. As part of his equipment, he brought his own amp which was so good to have. Organising a wedding, or any other party or function, can be stressful but we were so glad to have collaborated with Ed who was so kind, so efficient and, above all, outstandingly gifted at his chosen instrument. We would recommend Ed 100% - thank you so much for helping make our big day so special."
