"We booked St. Moritz Pianist Lounge for a wedding reception in Italy, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire day. "BEST I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR! Professional, talented, responsive genuine. I sent a very last minute request (2 days before our ceremony) since we forgot to choose a song for our officiant as he walked down the aisle and Stephan came the rescue and learned Waiting in Vain (officiant's favorite) in literally less than a day. AND he did it out of the goodness of his heart. You can tell Stephan is someone who wants his clients to have the day as they imagined and will go OUT OF HIS WAY to make it happen. His music is beautiful and set the perfect mood for our ceremony. I love contemporary songs played acoustically and his repertoire is very extensive. I regret forgetting to take a picture to capture this! To all those who are smart enough to have Stephan play at your wedding or event, be smarter than me - remember to take a photo!!"

"A wonderful touch to our wedding Paolo brought an extra-special touch to our wedding day—a truly fabulous pianist! He played the church organ alongside our friends who played violin and flute, and despite it being their very first time playing together, they were completely seamless. Extremely professional, friendly, and focused on making the day even more romantic than you could ever imagine. We also had the chance to hear the colleagues he performs with—well, words aren't enough! Future newlyweds, I recommend him with all my heart! In case it wasn't clear, we couldn't be happier with our choice."

"I reserve my praise only for musicians of exceptional merit, and I would be remiss if I did not highly recommend this deserving artist. It gives me great pleasure to recommend Michael Crawford for any type of engagement and setting, whether it be a concert which is geared toward regular concert goers or an informal pops concert for first time listeners. I have collaborated with him performing duos in concert as well as conducting him as concert meister in chamber orchestra. He is an outstanding violinist of solo concert hall caliber and is equally at ease in solo repertoire and chamber music, as well as concert meister. "Jools composed and remotely recorded violin sections for 3 of my tracks: Just For a Day; Roman 7; Boneyard. The tracks have an American influence but would fall under the indie genre. Essentially, the remit for Jools was to 'bulk them out' with strings. Although I had not actually met Jools in person (and still haven't), he was extremely responsive when communicating via email and therefore didn't need to meet. Before agreeing, he encouraged me to listen to his back catalogue - I was impressed with the breadth and depth of genres that Jools had worked with and I was pleased to learn he had worked with a couple of acquaintances of mine- namely The Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and Chris Tye. Listening to his work, I was impressed by his knack around texturising songs- in my experience, strings can sometimes feel isolated from the rest of the instrumentation and I am aware that some string players find this aspect of composition challenging. Throughout the process, Jools ensured he had a secure understanding around my expectations. This brought about discussion around dynamics, chord progression technique (tremolo, tied sections etc). Although he was happy to read from transcript, I felt that his take on composition would be much better than mine, so he kindly agreed to compose the parts himself. After recording the first version, he sent me recordings via YouTube- he even went to the trouble of including a running text commentary of his thoughts within the video itself. This meant that I could give better feedback and bounce off his ideas. I was especially amazed by the turnaround (3 days to complete the process) as I had not set any deadlines or ball-park timeframes. Jools' playing is technically perfect and he has an exceptional ear for harmony and dynamics. e.g. He knew not to play for the sake of playing, and when to build to crescendo. He was able to add a range of chords, hooks and new melodies to the song. In Boneyard, the melody in the instrumental chorus ended up becoming the dominant hook- this was totally unplanned. Much like his violin playing, the overall recording quality was very professional. If you are looking for an outstanding string player who is both technical and visionary, Jools would be my number one recommendation."

"Choosing Stephan to play for our wedding was a no-brainer. The quality of his sound and musicianship, as well as the breadth of his repertoire, stood out as soon as we started exploring his website. His prices are also very reasonable. Most important, Stephan is very easy to work with. He responded to all of our emails punctually and was always helpful, flexible, and open to suggestion. He was amazing during our wedding ceremony and reception--all of our guests loved him, as he was so accommodating and took many spontaneous requests from the field! When one of our guests asked for a song he didn't know, he came back after his break and played it for her later! Stephan is awesome!"
