"It starts with hum, then a toe-tap and before you know it you are singing along to the tunes that you know so well. But what’s better, a night with the La Dolce Vita Swing Collective introduces you to new arrangements of those popular songs with an Italian-esque twist – as well as showcasing a selection that won’t be so familiar. The five-piece swing/jazz band – featuring piano, bass, sax, drums and vocals with those specially designed new arrangements – pays homage to likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and other Rat Pack favourites. Vocalist Tony Delicata put together the band with a collection of musicians from Edinburgh and Blairgowrie whose previous talents range from West End musicals to The Jools Holland Band. Tony’s powerful vocals on the likes of ‘I’ve got you under my skin’ and ‘Nice and Easy’ starting to carry the audience. ‘Come Prima’ and ‘O Sole Mio’ gave us the first real feel of the Italian influence. But it was after the interval that the Collective – and the audience – found their stride. The timeless – and age-less – appeal of the Rat Park tunes soon had the crowd moving from humming along and a foot-tapping, to full on sing-a-long mode as the band ripped through classics such as ‘Come fly with me’, ‘King of the Road’, ‘That’s Amore’ and ‘Volare’. By the time of the closing numbers of the near two-hour long show, ‘La Dolce Vita’ and (of course) ’New York New York’, the crowd was sold. It really does show that it does mean a thing, when it does have that swing. "

"We just want to say a huge thank you to you and your band. You were absolutely amazing and we couldn’t believe the amount of people who were up dancing. Your entrance music was the best and got everyone in the mood to dance. The first dance was magical. Everybody loved the sets. We had had an amazing day with Andy Carroll starting the entertainment off and then Mr Swing’s Dance Orchestra was the icing on top of the cake. Thank you so much again."

"Luigi è stato fantastico dal primo contatto (un anno prima del matrimonio), il giorno del matrimonio è stato chirurgico, nonostante alcuni problemi di logistica dovuti alla location lui ha sempre trasmesso tranquillità e è riuscito a sistemare le sue postazioni in tempo perfetto per la cerimonia e la festa! Personalmente è stato carinissimo e attento alle nostre necessità. L’abbiamo trattenuto più a lungo e per un prezzo minimo è stato con noi fino alle 3.30/4 (nonostante fosse ad un paio d’ore da casa). Siamo stati contentissimi come tutti i nostri invitati. "Andrew and his band are the BEST!! Our wedding planner recommended Andrew Thielen Big Band and his DJ and they were AWESOME! Our guests are still talking about how great they were. We had guests on the dance floor before dark, and we all danced the entire night! Andrew is very talented and we couldn't have gotten anything better!! Thank you so much!!"

"Feet tapped, eyes shone, hands clapped and hips and heads rolled as the brilliance of the great song writers Gershwin, Porter, Warren, Berlin and others became the hymns of this Saturday evening. But light-hearted as most of the music was, there was contrast in the emotive classic 'Every Time we say Goodbye' sung by the nightingale Gaylene Parish (close your eyes and it was Ella Fitzgerald)."

"Saxophonist Lina and her band were performing at Alstom's 115th anniversary celebration in Hennigsdorf. We joined them spontaneously and were immediately captivated by her intense and emotional playing, which deeply touched the audience! Despite the very changeable weather and the rather austere setting, she managed to create a special atmosphere and a wonderful mood. Simply fantastic!! German: Die Saxophonistin Lina mit ihrer Band hatte ein Engagement im Rahmen der 115-Jahr Feier von Alstom in Hennigsdorf. Wir sind spontan dazu gestoßen und waren von ihrem intensiven Spiel voller Gefühl, das die Zuhörer unmittelbar berührt, sofort begeistert! Trotz des sehr wechselhaftem Wetters und des eher nüchternen Rahmens hat sie es geschafft, eine besondere Atmosphäre und wunderbare Stimmung zu erzeugen. Einfach klasse!!"

"Home Swing Home est un groupe original, réussissant la synthèse du jazz, de la musique manouche et de la variété. Douceur et swing sont les deux caractéristiques du groupe, qui de ce fait est parfaitement taillé pour les évènements type mariages, vins d’honneur etc. Je recommande tout à fait !"
