"“Atmosphere” - I’m just going to state my bias right now: “I love Café Amore Bistro”. As soon as you walk in, one of the owners is right there greeting you with a smile; the serving staff are friendly and polite to a fault; the restaurant is bright and inviting in the daytime and dim and cozy and romantic at night. (There’s literally no other way to describe it. It’s a very intimate-feeling place at night.). There are always quirky little elements to look out for: Last time I went, there was an accordion player making his way around tables playing the smoothest damn music your ears have ever been graced with. The tables are close but you still feel like you have your space while you’re eating, and if you happen to spill your drink — and then maybe spill it again — the staff will be right there to offer you a napkin. They’re the sweetest. And, after you’ve stuffed yourself so full you can hardly stand the thought of getting up and going to your car, the owner will personally wish you a good night on your way out. A nicer, more courteous restaurant has never existed."

"We love Velvet Crush ! They performed at our celebration for Bennett Management Group’s 60th year with Burger King. They were the high energy we were looking for ! And they were very professional in every step of the process ! They sounded wonderful and are a very talented entertainment group. We will definitely have them back !"

"We hired Point Five to play at our first ever NYE Ceilidh and it went down an absolute treat ! We sold out and almost everyone was up dancing which was completely unexpected ! The music was great, the caller was great and it was an all round great night and I’m so glad we chose Point Five as our band for it. I would 100% recommend Point Five if you’re ever in need of a Ceilidh Band!"

"Catherine and Gunther Schonfeldt - Bride and Groom Marriott Hotel Ottawa Hi Andy, Sorry for the delayed reply. We got back to Vancouver on Monday evening. Thought we'd have time this week to send thank you emails but it has been a bit crazy in our end. Anyway, thanks Andy for doing such an amazing job at our wedding. Most of the guests came up to us to let us know how much they enjoyed the music and how good you guys were. They all wanted to know how we found you so we mentioned Trevor Stevenson of course. If it wasn't for our mutual friend Trevor, we wouldn't have been lucky enough to meet you and the band. I can tell you that most of my memory of that evening (all thanks to the alcohol) centered on the dance floor with the 3 of you playing to some of my favourite songs of all time. "Swing Shift played at our wedding, a modest affair with 200 of our closest friends and family. After our wedding dance, a foxtrot, the band started into that great swing tune, "In the Mood". "Michele is wonderful to work with. He is an amazing musician and singer, as well as DJ. He executed all of the music on our wedding day. For our ceremony, we had songs that we wanted played at specific moments from our playlist, and he nailed the timing. He and his band played beautiful music during cocktail hour and kept the energy up. He then DJed the music from our playlists of favorite songs for our reception and afterparty disco. Our friends were having so much fun and didn't want the evening to end, they even chanted "one more song" at the end of the night and Michele was kind enough to stay and oblige. We really enjoyed working with him and his band! "
