Photo of Dance Floor Mafia Dance Floor Mafia "If you want a band that is very flexible, will make your party lively and just add the cherry on top to your events, pick Dance Floor Mafia! We had a very multigenerational group, I was curious at to how they'll pull it off. People from their 90's to people from their early 20's. Their song lists got EVERYBODY moving! We booked Dance Floor Mafia for our outdoor party/reception at our property and they blew everyone away! They set up and broke down so quickly. They also had lights and a FOG MACHINE!!! It is nice to have the whole Band/DJ make the crowd go wild and also have fun with the family while they are at it. Thank you so much for making our celebrations of our unity special. I also want to give a big shout out to Christian Bewly for being very responsive when i need to reach him. He is a very professional and will go out of his way to make your night the way you want it to be. We wanted a Hawaiian themed band and they definitely made it happen! What surprised me even more is, they played a party anthem song that only the local islanders back home knows about. Thank you for making this special and a night to remember forever. Matt and Lea" Based in Portland, Oregon Lea and Matt - Wedding reception Photo of New Age Flamenco New Age Flamenco "I've heard the music of New Age Flamenco around Seattle over the years and we got lucky enough to have them at our Ceremony and Reception. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Oleg and New Age Flamenco. I won't even go into the basics [of being on time and other common sense], because these guys are simply the best in town. From their professionalism to how reliable they are to the standard of entertainment they provide, I will forever recommend them to anyone holding any event. Oleg wend above and beyond with planning the whole evening with us for literally hours and we couldn't have been more thankful. On top of that, I had the honor to perform with them at our wedding, which was one of my favorite memories through the evening! Thank you for everything guys! S.D." They were extremely flexible and accommodating, especially when we asked if they would follow our leadership around the office as they gathered people for the party. Awesome talent, great at judging sound vs space. Our office is pretty echo-y and loud, but they found the right balance immediately. Definitely keeping on the books for next time!" Based in Seattle, Washington (145 miles from Portland) Ashley V - Corporate Party Photo of The Unknowns The Unknowns "There are songs that just stand out because they are so different from everything out there. “Stay Down Kat”, by The Unknowns, is definitely one of those songs. There’s a suave, jazzy, bluesy feel to this song, with great lead and backing vocals. It’s sultry, sensual, mysterious, and controlled, yet it has its powerful moments. And who can resist a great sax solo? Those things will draw you in, and soon The Unknowns will be known." Frequently asked questions

The average cost of hiring wedding bands is $1,100, with prices from $240 to $3,500+. The main pricing factor is the number of musicians in the band, as wedding bands range from compact three-piece acts to large ensembles with brass sections and backing vocalists. Performance duration, whether the band provides music for multiple parts of the day and any extras such as DJ sets or lighting also affect cost.

Most wedding bands perform for two to three hours of evening entertainment, usually split into sets with short breaks. The first set often begins after the meal and speeches, starting with the first dance. Longer or shorter performance times can usually be arranged, and many bands also offer background music or DJ services for earlier parts of the day.

Many wedding bands are happy to learn a specific song, such as a first dance or a song with personal significance. For the best experience, discuss this with the band as early as possible, as some songs may require additional rehearsal time. Most bands will learn at least one special request at no extra charge.

The wedding bands listed on Gig Heaven range from small three or four-piece groups to larger line-ups with brass sections, backing singers and additional musicians. Smaller bands suit intimate venues and lower budgets, while larger ensembles create a bigger sound for grand receptions. Many bands offer flexible line-up options to suit different event sizes and budgets.

Most wedding bands are self-contained and provide their own PA system, microphones and any necessary amplification for standard event venues. For larger spaces or events with over 300 guests, additional sound reinforcement may be needed. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the band before booking, especially if the venue has specific noise restrictions or technical requirements.

Most wedding bands cover a wide range of genres, from pop and rock to soul, Motown, indie and current chart hits. Some also offer jazz, swing or acoustic sets for cocktail hours and dinner. Browsing band profiles on Gig Heaven is the best way to check repertoire, and many bands will tailor their setlist to suit the style of your event.
