Communication between customers and suppliers

Customers and suppliers can talk to each other directly on Gig Heaven from the very first enquiry - everything you need to discuss an event is built into the site. How you communicate changes once a booking is confirmed: before then, everything happens on Gig Heaven; afterwards, direct contact details are shared automatically.

Before a booking is confirmed

You can communicate directly to discuss the event requirements in full, in two easy ways:

  1. Messages - send messages through your Gig Heaven account. When you're both online at the same time, messages arrive instantly, so you can talk in real time. You can also attach photos, files, or videos to a message.
  2. Video/audio meetings - meet face-to-face (like a Zoom call) directly in your Gig Heaven account, with no software to install.

Don't share personal information before booking

Gig Heaven has developed a unique and robust platform to help interested customers connect with great event suppliers. The success of this platform relies upon users like you working with us to keep our marketplace safe, reliable and fair - so please don't share links to external platforms, direct contact details (e.g. phone number, email, website) or personal information before a booking is confirmed.

For more on why this matters and what's safe to share, see sharing personal contact details and why we ask you to keep communication on Gig Heaven.

Message & meeting moderation

Messages and meetings are moderated by our automated systems and our employees for safety reasons and to prevent abuse of our service. We reserve the right to manually or automatically edit messages to comply with our terms of service. Our moderators may also occasionally edit messages to correct spelling mistakes or improve clarity - for example, by adding a link to the relevant listing.

After a booking is confirmed

When the deposit is paid and the booking is confirmed, direct contact details (phone and email address) are automatically shared between customer and supplier - each of you receives the other's in a message. From then on you can arrange the details of the day however suits you best, on or off the site.

If a message ever makes you uncomfortable or looks suspicious, report it - see blocking or reporting another user.
