There are lots of ways to make your listing work harder for you, from on-site promotion to embeddable badges you can put on your own website. This article is a short summary. For the full comprehensive guide, see our Improve & promote your listing page.

Promoting your listing from your own website
If you have your own website, you can link to your Gig Heaven listing in two ways:
- A Gig Heaven badge. An orange, black, or white logo that links to your listing. You'll get an embed code to paste into your site.
- A ratings widget. A small auto-updating widget that shows your star rating and latest reviews. Available in three sizes (small, medium, large) and two colour schemes (light, dark), so there's a combination that fits most site designs.
You can grab the embed code for any of these from My Account. Look for the promote listing action on your listing.
Sharing on social media
From the same promote page you can share a link to your listing on Twitter / X or Facebook with one click. A post like that (alongside your own photos or a recent clip) tends to pick up engagement from people who already know you.
On-site ways to stand out
Beyond external promotion, the biggest gains come from making your listing better:
- Get reviews. Reviews are the number-one factor customers look at. Ask recent clients to leave one, see Requesting a review from your customer.
- Add FAQs so customers can self-qualify, see Adding your own FAQ entries to your listing.
- Widen your travel distance. Found in the listing editor's Location & Travel section.
- Add YouTube videos. Listings with video hold attention for longer. See Adding videos to your listing.
- Add audio clips. See Adding and reordering audio samples.
- Add more photos. Variety helps customers picture you for their event, see Uploading and organising your photos.
- Set up SMS text alerts so you can reply fast. Faster replies win more bookings, see Notifications (Email, Browser & SMS).
- Fine-tune your prices. Show enough options to cover more budgets, see Setting your prices.
- Pick the right categories. You can appear in up to ten categories if they all genuinely apply.
- Use listing tags. Tags help customers narrow their search to the exact fit.
