"New Orleans is a state-of-mind. Every year around this time of year, Mardi Gras is an explosion of joyousness. You don't have to travel down to Louisiana to feel it. Its spirit resides in Mercer County in a little town called Ewing, where Joe Grillo leads The Gumbo Gumbas on a Cajun holiday all year round. The jump-blues, zydeco, rocl'n'roll, jazz, folk strains and oh such soul are on full display wherever they play. Now you can even share that feeling, that zest for life, that passionate embodiment of the groove, in your own home. Zydeland has to be the feel-good album of the year so far. Written, arranged, produced, sung and honked on his tenor sax, Grillo imbues Zydeland with a Bourbon Street beat. He's an honorary French Quarter denizen of the night. Of course, there's always time to invoke a little Tom Waits on highlight "Can't Go Back to New Orleans" The colors mix and mingle with tuba, banjo, guitar, violin, viola, cello, trombone, accordion, piano, bass, clarinet, soprano sax, trumpet and that penetration percolation percussion. Excuse me, I got to get on up and do the boogaloo. You just can't set still for this thing."

"Booking a destination wedding in Spain from Ireland felt a bit daunting, but Horizon Party Band made the music side completely stress-free. Their communication before the big day was excellent, and their performance on the night was electric. They even learned our first dance song perfectly, which meant the world to us. The dancefloor was packed from the first song to the very last encore. Absolute professionals and incredibly talented musicians."

"Ian P. Woodbury I’ve been serenaded AND stirred by THE ROCKITS twice in 2022, since being introduced to them only recently. I made a pledge to myself, in the mirror, to go and listen to them whenever I need to satisfy my audio addiction for exceptionally performed, hard driving Rock n Roll. As a guy who has been playing guitar, and singing for an audience since 1956, I continuously need to have my appetite satiated with Good Ol’ Rock n Roll. The Rockits satisfy my need quite satisfactorily! Thank You Very Much! The Rockits share the top shelf of the D.C. Area bands, with only a few other bands up there with them. There is no better party band than The Rockits. The band is well-rehearsed, instrumentally and vocally tight, and they really know how to keep the good vibes topped off at FULL, without losing the personal touch with their audience. Everyone in the band is a seasoned musician, sings very well, and harmonizes on key. But…the vocal standout is Robin Brown, the female vocalist. Robin should be known by everyone in the D. C. Metro Area, who enjoys hip Shakin’ Rock n Roll. ROBIN IS THAT GOOD! She commands the stage, like a Queen, but she is never domineering. She does not try to draw undue attention to herself, but knows her position on stage, as an integral part of a smoothly wild ensemble. She shares the M.C. duties with the band’s leader, Peter Grattan, who is a fine drummer, but in The Rockits, he is a triple threat on keyboards, guitar, and vocals. All the instrumentalists are in the top echelon of local talent, each attuned to his role in the overall mix, and they all shine in their spots. If you want a really satisfying Good Time of listening and dancing, there is no better band, who can lift you higher, than The Rockits. Going out to get your Rock n Roll fix with The Rockets is an evening well-spent. "

Thank you so very much Ian. We strive to give the best performance possible and it is people like you that make it all worth while. Having been 'Rockits' for over ten years, we appreciate every gig we get, every booking is unique, and having played a 3 year 6 nite a week residency at one of New Zealand's top hotels in my twenties, I know how important it is to 'entertain.' My experience as TVNZ's Head Of Entertainment Production for three years also has given me the experience needed to become an all round entertainer. Years of touring the world on cruise ships, recording four records for CBS and years in London have helped, so that our repertoire of 1000 songs spans sixty years and encompasses the best of the Rock 'n Roll era. "Mariachi el Mexicano de Pablo Aguilar were the highlight at our wedding! The band gave a fantastic performance and really set a happy and fun mood at our event, making our occasion very special! The band played before our wedding, and serenaded us down the aisle and out of the room as a married couple. They professional filled in at unplanned times both before and during the ceremony, making the event run very smoothly. Our communication was very clear and we thank the band for making our day so very special!"

"Absolutely fantastic Ceilidh band. They had a break down en route to our wedding and still somehow managed to get there and start on time and pull off a marvellous show. Very accommodating with what tunes and dances we wanted and also with what we wanted to be played later that evening. All in all absolutely delighted."

"The Bit Band saved our day! Unfortunately, it ended up raining and we opted for Plan B which somewhat disappointed us. Then, the caterers were very slow and we didn't get started dancing until about 11:00. As soon as the Bit Band started the whole mood of a somewhat logistically disappointing day changed. They had everyone up dancing and singing and even stayed extra because of our late start. I can't thank them enough! Working with Mary was so easy and since we didn't have a wedding planner, she actually helped translate some misunderstanding we had with the caterers about some of the special meals. Believe me, the Bit Band is a game changer and you won't regret hiring them."
