"We recently hired Petford Ensemble for an event and were incredibly impressed with their performance. The music was a perfect blend of classics and modern takes, reminiscent of the soundtracks from Bridgerton! We can't thank them enough for adding such a magical touch to our event. Jennifer was upfront in saying that she was already engaged during our event and she would have another experienced cellist to play as a substitute. We had no issue with the arrangement and trusted her recommendation, all the while Jennifer and us worked through the ceremony and the associated music pieces. The entire process was seamless, trouble free and we were very very happy on the day of our wedding. Zero disappointment. Sent on 16/Sep/2023"

"Working with vermilion strings for my wedding was such a pleasure! Emma was quick with responses and very helpful with all of my questions! The musicians have were so talented, and played beautifully during our ceremony! Definitely recommend vermillion strings to anyone looking to add a little extra to their wedding day!!!"

"Emma and the team of musicians at Vermilion Strings were perfect vendors for our wedding ceremony! We opted for the violin and cello duo and were very pleased with the pricing. Because of the pandemic, we rescheduled (twice!) but the team was so accommodating and understanding. So communicative and reliable. We requested a bit of a custom piece after our ceremony--a quick play of a fun song transitioning into our first dance, and the musicians nailed it. Highly recommend to add class and ambiance to your event!"

From the very beginning, they were professional, responsive, and extremely accommodating—especially when it came to learning and performing our custom walk-out songs. Hearing those pieces played live in such a beautiful, elegant way was one of the most memorable moments of the entire day. During cocktail hour, they created the perfect atmosphere. Their repertoire was outstanding—seamlessly blending classics with modern favorites—and they kept our guests fully engaged and constantly commenting on how talented they were. The music added such a warm, sophisticated energy to the entire space. "We couldn’t have been happier with Alvar and his string quartet at our wedding. From the very first contact, Alvar was incredibly receptive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole planning process stress-free. The comprehensive song list he provided was brilliantly organised by category, making it straightforward for us to select the perfect pieces for each part of our day. Alvar was remarkably flexible with timing and was able to perform at all the key moments we’d hoped for. When our wedding ran slightly over schedule, he was more than happy to accommodate and wait so they could play at exactly the right moment. One of the real highlights was the three bespoke songs they learned especially for us. The way they arranged and performed these pieces was absolutely stunning and made the day feel incredibly personal and special. The quartet added so much to the atmosphere throughout – their performances were one of the standout moments of our entire wedding. Beyond their musical talent, they were a pleasure to work with. They liaised smoothly with our venue to ensure they could set up in the right locations, remained friendly and communicative throughout, and were thoroughly professional and competent in every way. We’d recommend Alvar and his quartet without hesitation – they helped made our day unforgettable."

"Phenomenal. Catherine and Brad exceeded all of our expectations. The cello added an entirely new dimension to the atmosphere, and the breadth of their repertoire was really impressive.
