"We just wanted to drop you a quick message to say thank you so much for being such a fantastic part of our wedding last week! We have lost count of the number of guests who commented on how fantastic you all were, both on the night itself and in messages afterwards. The atmosphere was exactly as we had hoped it would be. We can’t think of a better way that we could have gotten all of the different people from all walks of our lives up and dancing all night! Dexter particularly isn’t much of a dancer so I hope you do take it as the high praise that it is that he was on the dance floor for so much of the evening. We also just wanted to say a massive thank you for being so flexible with the timings and playing later than planned without any issue. Hope the rest of the wedding season continues to be such a success. Thanks so much again."

"We needed a band for our wedding in Lisbon. Given we had a themed wedding (rock and heavy metal), we’ve been looking for a band playing in this genre. We were so glad to have found Rocktonight, and when they sent us their setlist, there could be no other choice! We aren’t from Lisbon ourselves and all our guests were coming from somewhere else, so looking for a band had to be done remotely, and we weren’t able to meet the band in advance. But the communication with the band was great, with Laura replying to all our questions promptly. In addition, we somehow managed to pick the hottest day of summer for the wedding, but Laura and co. took up that challenge! They have been absolutely awesome! Not only they made everybody dance (mainly, jump), but they also learned our wedding song (a ballad by Steel Panther), which wasn’t an easy one to learn. Needless to say, all our guests were amazed by the band too! We doubt the party would have been the same without them. Highly recommended!"

We chose the songs for our ceremony, shared them with Laura, and trusted her talent blindly. "Saxophones, a rhythm section and vocals, swinging like crazy – that’s the aptly named FIVE STAR SWING ! As saxophone section in any band, they would take some beating. Beautiful tones and well-rehearsed by their leader, Chris Smith (Jnr), who has the singular talent of playing the trumpet with his right hand and the piano with his left at one and the same time ! He also happens to be a very experienced music writer having learnt his trade with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Glenn Miller’s Brother, Herb. Add to the fact that he can also well handle a vocal, as can his wife, lead alto Simone Smith and tenor man Stephen Davies, who’s clarinet playing on “Sing, Sing, Sing” was superb – and it will give you some idea of the breadth of talent in this line-up. This is a band crying out to be danced to and it wasn’t long before the jivers took to the dance floor. Five Star Swing –a “must” for every dance club in the country."

"I just recently played at a little wedding celebration - the happy couple and their toddler, and me with my little set up playing in the corner while they ate cake. Even the kid danced a little, and they had a good afternoon. Here is their review sent to Encore (who did the booking): Alex L, 1 hour ago Wedding in Blackfriars Priory, Ladybellegate St, Gloucester GL1 2HN, UKSean was our saxophonist for our elopement wedding and I can not fault him at all! He was so accommodating with our song requests/genre and even played a few songs for our toddler. Absolutely fantastic. The venue commented on how great he was and so did everyone we showed the videos to. Would 110% recommend and would love to have Sean again at another event. Thanks Sean! :)"
