" Unique, talented, mellow DJ! Brian was approachable to talk to, esp. with it being my first time working with a DJ. He was willing to take the time to listen to songs that were important to me and other things about the wedding (actually we had a renewal of vows celebration that was like a wedding). Brian gave great suggestions based on lots of experience. His skills exceed that of others DJ's I've seen -- he's a musician himself too...a really good one! He has a ton of songs to pick from, too; he even pulled out what I'd call dinner versions of a lot of the songs on my playlist for when we were eating (our plan was to have more mellow music during that time). He was friendly and flexible, joining in with 2 other musicians I hired for square/folk dance music. If you're looking for someone who will bring a calm presence, look no further. I've been recommending Brian to several friends. Bonus: he played the music the perfect loudness (as in loud for a party) but comfortable for the ears (you could hold a conversation). I think this contributed to our guests feeling comfortable and smiling the whole time and getting to know each other. I loved that Brian brought equipment for the music to be outdoors at the end when my husband and I danced our special Last Dance on the grass surrounded by family and friends; it was so joyful and fun. "

"We just wanted to say thanks so much for playing at our wedding! You guys did a superb job and we loved the Orcadian Strip The Willow idea for our first dance, you were great at calling it and it was brilliant to see all our best friends and family up dancing with us. We all loved your fun mix of music too, you were very accommodating. We have the best memories from our very special day."

"A big thank you for your part in Saturday's party. You did a great job and it was a real pleasure to have you playing. The music was super and it was a relief to me that you just got on with the job so efficiently and unobtrusively, so I didn't need to think about that side of things at all. "22nd January 2020. Bob Ferguson Songwriter. The last couple of years we had the pleasure of having the Scottish musician Bob Ferguson on stage. He is a great performer. With Bob in the house, you're sure of having an entertaining afternoon or evening. And the music he's playing is diverse. Scottish and Irish folk, but also songs made by himself. We knew Bob already from concerts he played in our folkclub with Beggars Row and Celtic Hearts. But his solo concerts are also from high quality. So whenever you have the chance to get him on stage in your folkclub, bar or festival.....?! Book this guy! "

"Pete St John, April 2012 . It happened as it always does in the folk music world ….. Unexpectedly !! … Four fine balladeers from Ballyfermot came to me singing my songs . They had fallen in love with a song I had written about the ongoing and inevitable subject of Emigration in the Irish way of Life . I had tried , in this particular song , to bring a little lightness to the subject … by admitting that Irishmen are all mammy’s boys !! .. the girls are special and loved but the boys are mammy’s pets !!! . And when they are far away from home they always want to call the Mammy !! “ Rambling Rose or Rambling Paddy Don’t forget to call the Mammy !! “ What a bonus for me !! … I could not be happier !! "Katie played at our wedding at Hotel Endsleigh in September 2022. She did an amazing job, she plays such incredible music. Katie was also super easy to work with running up to the wedding and was very accommodating to our requests. I would highly recommend booking Katie for an event."
