"What more can I say?! This band literally fills my place (capacity 189 people). The guys in the band are a joy to work with whilst Millie ( lead vocalist) has a voice to die for! I'm now booking this spectacular band every 4 weeks and for all my special events. It's an absolute pleasure to host this amazing band! Looking forward to the next gig! 💙"

"If you walked into The Pocket blindfolded last week you might have thought Tom Jones had dropped by to front this power trio. But there's no mistaking why they call Stephen Bailey 'The Wailer', as he fills the room with deep guttural blues you could be back in 50's Mississippi. With a rhythm section tighter than a bungee jumper's harness and keyboard skills that could give Jools Holland a run for his money, these guys mean business! "The Pagliuca-Mena ensemble is incredible – and that is not a word I often use. I found it original, listenable and completely absorbing, not only for the musicians’ class but for the arrangements and the inclusion of so many different facets of music: It’s heavy on the jazz but also strong on the Latin, a little classical and even a touch of folk now and again. It is hard to put into words how struck I was listening to this so I am not going to try, but rather say if you want something very different but with enough familiarity to make it still comfortable, listen to this music. It takes a lot for me to get excited by a band on first hearing, but the Pagliuca-Mena Sextet instigated just that. They are one of the most exciting bands I have heard for a long time and the delivery of this music is truly exceptional. "
