"I have hired the duo You & Me for my 30th birthday, which I held at an outdoor farm at noon. They were the ones who livened up the moment and it was beautiful to be able to share with my loved ones with good music from the hand of these two wonderful artists."

"Thank you Jonathan and the band so much for making a very sad day go with a ‘swing’. It was exactly what my Mum wanted, a jazz band playing at her funeral and at the reception afterwards. You were all very professional lovely people and I would recommend you every time, for all occasions, not just funerals. Once again thank you"

"WOW. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. If you are considering hiring Good Time SoulF for your wedding or event, you should book them immediately! I am so incredibly impressed with their talents, professionalism, communication, and overall performance. They were such a highlight of my wedding day and I couldn’t be more grateful that they were able to come and perform for us. They were so flexible with their playlists as well and let me customize the songs that I wanted to hear from their playlists as well as add a few more songs that they were able to learn for the wedding. I am overjoyed with their performance and the only thing I wish I would have done differently is to have asked them to stay longer. Truly amazing, kind, talented, and wonderful performers. "Martin and Roy played at my Birthday Party and it was absolutely Brilliant! The Dance floor was packed from the moment they started playing to the end of the evening. Everybody said how much they enjoyed the music. It was all the songs we new from the 60's to the 90's and some contemporary ones too. The sound was fantastic. It really sounded like a 6 piece band with backing vocals all at just the right volume. If you want a great fun band that can play all your favorite hits then look no further than Footloose. Their vocals and guitars were fantastic and the extra instruments they played on the backing were spot on. Thanks Footloose"

"All of this is an admittedly roundabout way of confessing that I wasn't prepared to be as delighted as I am with Go Tell It on the Mountain (Silkheart), an album of traditional hymns and originals with heaven-gazing titles by Booker T. Williams Jr., a New York-based tenor saxophonist originally from Seattle who performs as Booker T. The obsessive soul-searching implicit in the programming suggests an affinity with John Coltrane. But unlike too many of the saxophonists who aim for Coltrane's spiritual elevation, Booker T has a devilish sense of humor best illustrated by his "Say amen, Gracie" drollery on "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," a homey little melody he elongates and fragments with the comic élan of a Sonny Rollins. In fact, the classic album that Go Tell It on the Mountain most recalls is Way Out West, Rollins's 1958 album of cowboy tunes--and not just because Booker T, like Rollins before him, finds inspiration in unlikely places. It's also because Booker T's interaction with the bassist Saheb Sarbib and the drummer Andrew Cyrille is as carefree and almost as electrifying as Rollins's with Ray Brown and Shelly Manne thirty years ago (or better yet, with Wilbur Ware and Elvin Jones on A Night at the Village Vanguard, from around the same time). Despite the sarcasm implicit in Booker T's low-register bleats, his performances of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Jesus Loves Me" exude sincerity, much the way Rollins's interpretations of oddball pop tunes do. For Booker T, as for Rollins, satire is a sign of respect, not condescension. Booker T is ecumenical: one of the album's most infectious cuts is "Halle Kalle Mazeltov," a hora whose modality he cagily exploits. The Spartan trio format means that Sarbib and Cyrille have to function as soloists as well as rhythm stalwarts, and both men shoulder the added burden gracefully, maintaining melodic continuity in a manner that bassists and drummers seldom do when they solo. Despite the length of some of the tracks (the title tune, which is just over sixteen minutes, is a Booker T original, not the folk song of the same name), Booker T's solos never deteriorate into self-indulgent braying. His sense of thematic exposition is too well developed for that-another cue he takes from Rollins. (And as if to underscore his lineage, the CD-only bonus track is Rollins's calypso "St. Thomas.") He switches to alto on his own "When Mama Cries I Cry," and his phrasing is impressively speechlike on this lighter horn. To the best of my knowledge, Booker T's only other recording has been as a sideman on Cold Sweat, a recent album of James Brown tunes (also featuring Craig Harris and David Murray) that illustrates the sloppiness jazz musicians are capable of when trying to show they can be Regular Guys. But Go Tell It on the Mountain is stunning enough to make me a believer in Booker T's potential. "

"The Catfish Kings were superb! Great musicians. The vocalist and band leader, Harry, sings over a tremendous rhythm section comprising saxophone, bass, drums, keyboard and guitar. Every song played delivered a great authentic sound. Every song invited you to dance. And we did! The band were friendly and showed great professionalism from start to finish. They entered into the spirit of the occasion and were a key factor in the success of the evening. So many of our friends and family, of all ages, were very complimentary about this band. Thanks to Harry and the band for a great night."

"JBMAC performed for our wedding and I can honestly say they made our evening! The team were incredible performers and brought such a great energy to the day! The setup looked superb and they definitely had everyone on the dance floor letting loose! Josh & Nora made me feel such at ease in the run up to the big day and managed everything seamlessly! "Rachel and Peter were very professional but also so friendly it felt like we’d known them for a while. Their communication before the event was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. I felt very much that the evening was mine - and a few last minute requests were not a problem for them at all. I had loads of compliments about my choice of band and their versatility and energy, I haven’t danced so much for ages, and am still buzzing today. We will definitely recommend them to friends and family and book them without hesitation should we have another celebration. Thank you both for making it a magical evening"

Professionali e amichevoli in tutto, la nostra giornata è stata perfetta anche grazie a loro! Musica adatta sia per i piu "grandicelli" come i nostri genitori, che per i giovani, tutti hanno ballato e si sono divertiti e ci hanno fatto un sacco di complimenti! Ancora di più il loro batterista: ha pure rischiato la vita con un pezzo di bastone della pentolaccia che gli è volato a 1 cm dalla faccia... Brividi. ma tragedia evitata. Gli Uke hanno continuato a suonare pezzi perfettamente in armonia con la festa fino allo stremo delle forze (il cantante non aveva più la voce alla fine). Grazie mille anche per questo ragazzi, è stato un matrimonio all'insegna del divertimento e vi siete adeguati alla perfezione, pure con sprezzo del pericolo. Grazie ancora e buon proseguimento!"

"My husband and I recently got married in Ostuni at Masseria Il Frantoio. When we began looking for music for the reception, jazz was on the top of our list. Blue Moon Jazz Band came highly recommended by our wedding planner and after hearing from her that they were able to keep a small intimate wedding dancing all night, I was sold. I love to dance and I was worried by having a smaller wedding we would miss out on that. Not the case at all! They learned the few pieces we wanted played for our ceremony and we gave them some suggestions for the reception, but left the rest up to them. They did not disappoint! We danced all night- even when it started to rain, they moved under an overhang so that they could continue the party! I highly recommend the Blue Moon Jazz Band for your wedding or event, I can’t say enough great things about them!! "
