"Friday 24th November 2023 - The Jazz Kings - Tweed Valley Jazz and Blues A superb gig to bring a fitting close to a year of top-flight music. ‘The Jazz Kings’ left us in no doubt why they are currently rated among the top outfits on the North Coast. Each of them – Nicole Parker-Brown on vocals, Peter Uppman on vocals and trumpet (sometimes almost at the same time), Gordon Matheson on guitar, Col Atkinson on bass and yet more vocals, and Jose McLaughlin on keyboards – is an accomplished performer in their own right, and in combination they are a musical powerhouse to be reckoned with. It was an evening of eclectic mix, from popular jazz standards, through blues arrangements that will be appearing on their latest album, to occasional dips into the classical realms, and a few nostalgic ‘pop’ reminiscences. Among the favourites were their own arrangements of evergreens such as ‘Night and Day,’ ‘All Of Me’, ‘Misty’, ‘Georgia On My Mind’ and ‘Making Whoopee’. Jose even gave a nod towards his earlier career as keyboard player and musical director of ‘Gerry and the Pacemakers’ with his updated arrangements of ‘Ferry Cross the Mersey’ and ‘Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying’. All in all, a great end to 2023, and the Club Committee took time at the end to wish all members and visitors a happy and safe Xmas and a prosperous New Year. If it promises music of the same quality as this past year, then we’ll have no complaints."

"My partner and I got married last year in Barcelona and wanted something different and modern—not the typical wedding band with the same old songs. We saw their video and loved it, and once we talked to them about how they structure their show, we were totally on board. Short and punchy versions, just the best parts. The craziest part? We didn’t have a stage, and they still came right onto the dance floor—singing and playing between the tables and guests. You can tell they’ve got tons of experience. We didn’t book them through this site, but they asked us if we could write a review here to help out—so 10/10 from us. "

" if you are ever after a band for a celebration, these are your guys. The versatility of this band is impressive. They can pretty much play anything you request. They each bring their own individual talent across as very professional. I would highly recommend them and know you would not be disappointed. We will definitely be rebooking! "

"We really wanted a folk style band with a saxophone player which believe it or not seems to be harder to find than you would think and then we found you guys and we are so thankful that we chose you! Your performance from start to finish and you were all so lovely to have at our wedding. Huge thanks to Billy for also singing our first dance – it’s a moment we will cherish"

"The one night band played our festival themed tipi wedding on Friday and were absolutely sensational!!!! ✨ If you want high energy, good vibes (whatever the weather!) and banging floor fillers to get the party started, these are your people!! They were phenomenal in the build up and even better on the day!! They did a beautiful afternoon acoustic set and they managed to tailor our favourite songs for our first dance to perfection, making it one of the most magical moments of our life 💗 Laura and the ONB we love you, thank you!! "We booked Guty and Simone for our wedding in Rome, and we are so glad we had. Booking a band was one of the most daunting parts of the wedding planning, especially when you cant see them live and are only guided by audio clips, videos and online reviews to go by . 100 guests traveled from Ireland for our wedding and we can honestly say 100 guests didn't leave the dance floor until the band finished up, The guys came early and set up and were out of sight until they were needed. We actually started late (first dance at midnight ), and they guys were happy to play into the night. Their repertoire is huge and will cater for the masses, they will even play a song of your chosen for your first dance if it's not on their play list, if you give them enough time for them to learn it. All correspondence was quick and efficient, language barrier was not an issue. I can honestly recommend Guty and Simone for your band. For a two piece band we were blown away."

"Choosing a band was a big decision for us as we knew how important great music would be in getting everyone up and dancing. The Crazy 80s absolutely delivered! They were incredibly entertaining from start to finish and played two fantastic sets that had our entire guest list on the dance floor. Their setlist was packed with iconic hits that everyone knew and loved, and they even included a special request just for us, which meant a lot. So many of our guests commented on how much fun the band brought to the evening. They set up smoothly, worked effortlessly with the venue, and waited until the very end of the party to pack down, which was something we really appreciated. We genuinely cannot recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic party band to get your guests dancing and singing along all night, these are your guys!"

Angelica and Alessandro have both incredible voices and they are harmonizing so well together. It was really emotional and moving.
