Review Centre: Dance Bands

"Well, where can I start! From initially stumbling upon Dr Jazz and realising that there was something rather special about their approach and unique sound, to the very first email and phone calls to discuss our plans for the day, all the way through to our Wedding day itself – Dr Jazz and company were brilliant. Helpful, friendly, and wonderfully entertaining, we could not have asked for anything more. The set itself was fantastic – we were blown away with how much of an impact they made, not only in terms of everyone feeling the urge to get up to dance (which was a slight worry for us before the day!), but also with their spot on interaction with the guests, and overall management and ownership of the evening. We really knew we’d made the right decision as soon as the first note was played – talk about creating a spectacle!! In terms of a front man Matthew is absolutely superb, and his supporting crew of brilliantly talented musicians helped make our day one to remember for both us and our guests. Thank you all so very much for everything. We know what it’s like trying to find the ‘right band’, ourselves having trawled through many hundreds of sample tracks from other people and groups, and the worries that come with it regarding whether people will like it, whether it’ll be well received etc. The best advice I can honestly give is that if you are sitting there reading this review, and you have enjoyed the sample tracks you’ve listened to, then please don’t hesitate to book these guys. You will not regret it, and you and your guests will certainly never forget it. They were nothing short of marvellous. Once again we wanted to say thank you very much for everything – we really had a fantastic time, as did everyone else in attendance, and it is all thanks to you and your crew. You certainly made the evening, if not the day for us, and we are so pleased and lucky to have been able to book you to play for us. You were nothing short of brilliant, and we can’t stop talking or thinking about how amazing you were (and nor can anyone else!) It was so lovely to meet you all in person. All the best for the future, and please rest assured that we’ll be singing your praises for the years to come!"

"We couldn’t thank metropolis live music enough! As many know wedding planning is quite stressful but Mingo Tull (band leader) made it seamless and worry free. We chose them after a friend recommended them and made our wedding a total success! Almost 2 months later and people are still saying “that band was unreal”, “that band was electric”, “my legs were so sore from dancing because of the band”. If you are worried about people dancing at your wedding, then this is the band for you! Metropolis will forever be special to us because they made our dream wedding come true! Also every single band member and sound crew was amazing as well. The talent was unmatched. "We hired Herding Kats for my husbands 40th. From the start of the booking process the communication was phenomenal! Gary kept in constant contact and made sure everything was what we wanted! The band turned up with so much equipment, the set up was incredible! The band was super interactive and had all our guests not only up and dancing but on the stage singing and playing with the band! We absolutely loved the energy and all our guests said how amazing they were! I would highly recommend for any occasion and we will be booking with herding kats again!! Thank you for making my husbands birthday a real special night!!"

"We were absolutely blown away by parry and Rekha at our wedding. From the very beginning, their pre-wedding planning was exceptional, thoughtful, organised, and incredibly reassuring during what can be a busy time. On the day itself, they were faultless. Their timing was perfect, they adapted seamlessly to last minute changes, and they clearly understood the flow and significance of an Indian wedding ceremony. They knew exactly which songs worked best for each stage of the ceremony and executed everything beautifully. They also went above and beyond by coordinating their outfits, which added such a polished and professional touch. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing they were. Talented, professional, flexible, and genuinely lovely to work with, we couldn’t have asked for more. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding singers, especially for Indian ceremonies."
