"The Lewis Barfoot Jazz Quintet delivers amazing performances. The ensemble demonstrated a deep understanding of both the jazz and swing tradition and the soul of live interpretation, balancing technical precision with an inviting sense of spontaneity. Lewis's leadership was evident throughout, with singing that was confident yet understated, allowing space for all the musician voices to shine.There was an unmistakable sense of enjoyment and mutual respect on stage, which translated directly to the audience. Dynamic contrasts were handled with care, and solos were expressive without ever feeling self-indulgent. Particularly impressive was their attention to providing music that truly worked for dancers. Tempos, dynamics, and phrasing were handled with care, ensuring the music was not only enjoyable to listen to but also perfectly suited to the dance floor. Beyond the performance itself, the professional approach stood out throughout the entire process. Communication was clear and reliable from the initial booking through to the end of the event, making the experience smooth and stress-free. Overall, the Lewis Barfoot Jazz Quintet combined high-quality musicianship with professionalism and thoughtful consideration for their audience, resulting in a thoroughly successful event."

"A beautiful performance in the Lisettezaal of cultural center De Brink in Obdam on Sunday December 15th. A beautiful interplay of 4 musical friends, who played alternating gypsy swings. With personal stories told by Marcia , it was a true theater performance. The audience enjoyed the musicians and their playing. Recommended."

"Thank you all so much for your amazing performance on Saturday evening, which was everything I could have hoped for! Your music was brilliant, got everyone up dancing and I can’t tell you how many people told me afterwards ‘how brilliant the 1920s band were’. As soon as you played your first song I knew we’d struck gold! It couldn’t have been more perfect given the whole Gatsby theme and everyone so dressed up, so thank you all so much. You may be interested to know that we raised an astonishing £7,000 on the night! With just 96 people in the room…amazing! Thanks again Matthew and I’ll not hesitate to recommend you if anyone should ask me for a fabulous 20’s Jazz Band!"

"I was incredibly lucky to experience Lina live at a corporate event – ​​and I was instantly captivated! With her saxophone, she created a wonderful atmosphere that enchanted the guests and enriched the entire evening in a truly special way. Her song selection was diverse and engaging, and you could feel the passion and joy she puts into her music. She also made a fantastic impression personally: friendly, professional, and simply someone you immediately feel comfortable with. I'm certain of one thing: I'll definitely book her for my wedding! German: Ich hatte das große Glück, Lina bei einer Firmenveranstaltung live zu erleben – und war sofort begeistert! Mit ihrem Saxophon hat sie eine wunderbare Atmosphäre geschaffen, die Gäste verzaubert und den ganzen Abend auf eine ganz besondere Weise bereichert. Ihre Songauswahl war vielseitig und mitreißend, gleichzeitig spürt man, wie viel Leidenschaft und Freude sie in ihre Musik legt. "Mellowtone jazz were fantastic! We hired them to play at our corporate event. Chris and the team were very accommodating of our needs - nothing was too much trouble. The jazz trio played a great repertoire of all the jazz classics and they made our event that extra bit special! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we would certainly use them again for another event in the future. "

"Tom sang at our daughters wedding and was just brilliant. Turned up in good time to set up, looked so smart and then gave two brilliant sets of music that the whole audience absolutely loved. The wedding was quite simply breathtaking from start to finish and the only criticism I received was that I didn't book Tom for a longer time!"

Dani and the gang are excellent performers and really made the extra effort to make the Gatsby/1920s 1920s-themed night one to remember."

"This band provided us with a most excellent and professional evening of music. Their playing was exemplary and the cries of "more" at the end of the evening were an indication of their level of musicianship and ability to interact with the audience. Wedding receptions can be particularly difficult gigs but these guys totally nailed it. We have already booked them for our acoustic music club in December and eagerly look forward to their performance and the opportunity to share the HSG experience with our regular audience."
