"Annelise was perfect in every way. Prompt, communicative and responsive. Everyone at the party loved her and commented on her style. This was important to us as we were catering for all ages and tastes. She sang beautifully. I would definitely recommend and book again. Just wonderful."

"With all the hype going to Wynton Marsalis, you might not guess that there are other, lesser-known, straight-ahead trumpet players out there who are consistently ripping the hide off the ball. This, Rick Holland's auspicious debut, is an impressive effort. The trumpeter leads his quartet, backed by a solid Michigan-based rhythm section: pianist Terry Lower, bassist Ed Fedewwa, and drummer Larry Ochiltree, through a fiery trail of originals and standards, interspersed with some fine balladry. Holland's sensitive ear translates to some tight arrangements and a well-organized program. On flugelhorn, he boasts a rich, full tone that purrs with warmth. On the faster tunes, he steams. This is the kind of jazz that feels just right on a wintry day, with the fireplace in full throttle, and the feet resting on a cushion: it hits the spot perfectly, drenched with emotional power and skillful fortitude. "Semplicemente strepitosi Li abbiamo scoperti per caso cercando la band per le nostre nozze. Nonostante non abbia avuto il piacere di ascoltarli dal vivo, fin da subito ho capito che sarebbero stati perfetti per il nostro giorno speciale. Floriana è una cantante fantastica oltre che una persona meravigliosa. Hanno accontentato le nostre richieste in maniera impeccabile e hanno fatto divertire e scatenare i nostri ospiti. Super!"

"Couldn't recommend the band more, they were truly amazing! Funk'N'Soul performed at a corporate party for us, they came with a DJ included which was a bonus. Everyone was dancing and had an incredible evening. Will definitely use them again"

"The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art have used free outdoor jazz programs to draw the public to their facilities, but representatives of the museums say that this summer sparked a banner year in terms of attendance. “It was incredible,” said Dorrance Stalvey, director of music programs at LACMA. “We had upward of 2,000 people at some shows.” The museum--in its fourth year of offering jazz on a weekly basis-presented such artists as Horace Tapscott, Dr. Art Davis and Cecilia Coleman at its Friday evening shows, and big bands led by Bill Berry, Gerald Wilson and Bill Holman on Sunday afternoon programs. “This program was by far the most successful we’ve had,” said Dawn Setzer, spokesperson for MOCA. “We averaged about 1,500 people a show,” a figure up considerably from previous years’ events. Setzer said the primary reason for the increased turnout was the high-profile strictly-jazz lineup, presented on 11 consecutive Thursdays, that included Charles McPherson, Billy Higgins and Teddy Edwards. LACMA continues its Friday evening shows throughout the year, currently spotlighting a retrospective of bands that have played there, plus new acts. ‘Trane Time: The annual John Coltrane Festival takes place tonight at 8 at the World Stage, 4344 Degnan Blvd. in Leimert Park. On tap will be Ravi Coltrane, Dr. Art Davis’ estimable quintet with Doug Webb and Phil Vieux, and others. Information: (213) 293-2451. Davis will also appear at a benefit for Better Advantages for Students and Society (BASS), which awards a scholarship in his name. "Optreden Happy Hendrix voor mijn vaders 93e verjaardag Het optreden van Happy was fantastisch. Mijn vader werd 93 jaar en vierde zijn verjaardag met vrienden en kennissen. Hij was tot tranen toe geroerd. Hij heeft zo genoten... En hij heeft zelfs nog meegezongen. Het was, mede door jouw optreden, een onvergetelijke dag! Dank je wel!"

"Siamo rimasti incantati dalla voce di Federica e dalla bravura dei Belle Historie e, come noi, anche gli invitati al nostro matrimonio. Abbiamo ricevuto tanti complimenti per l’atmosfera incantevole che hanno saputo creare. Un sottofondo davvero elegante che non può non colpire!!
