"If you are looking for a unique, diverse musical sound for an occasion, then book The Achill Lads. They are exceptionally talented musicians with style/genres ranging from traditional Irish/occasion/church music, piping, folk and singing. The variety of instruments they can play is astonishing! Their professionalism is second to none and I have been lucky to perform with them throughout the years. We were very honoured to have them perform at our Wedding last year and they were amazing! A huge thank you again to Cian and Michael! Acaill abú!"

"Michael played the bagpipes at our wedding and was absolutely fantastic. He welcomed our guests with beautiful music as they arrived at the church and piped us out at the end of the ceremony — such a special touch. From the start, he was so friendly, laid-back, and easy to deal with, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Our guests loved his playing, and so did we — it added something really memorable to the day. Highly recommend!"

"I have seen Tatcho Drom several times now. The first time was a few years ago in the Percival Room, South Bank, London. They were phenomenal. The atmosphere, whipped up by the whole band and in particular by Gundula Gruen through her virtuoso violin playing and her repartee with the audience, was pulsating. I think some of the audience were from the Balkans and they were going wild. But most of us cold-blooded Englishmen and woman were up on our feet as well. If you get the chance to see this lot performing live, grab it. I love going to their shows."

"Look, I’m not fancy with music. I just know when something hits right. Golden OPA Band? They deliver. Good sound, good energy, no pretentious stuff. Just proper Greek music played by people who care. Respect."

"Maria Ploumi is an exceptional laouto player and singer, seamlessly blending traditional Greek music with contemporary influences. Her recent performance with Chrysoula K. & Púrpura was a masterclass in musicality and emotion. With her expressive laouto playing and warm vocals, Ploumi added depth and texture to a diverse repertoire spanning Greece, Argentina, Portugal, Armenia, and Italy. The band’s unique instrumentation—kanun, flute, cello, and laouto—created a rich, immersive soundscape, with Ploumi’s precision and artistry standing out as a highlight. Her synergy with lead singer Chrysoula Kechagioglou and the rest of the ensemble was remarkable, delivering a performance that was both technically impressive and deeply moving. Maria Ploumi’s ability to bridge musical traditions makes her a standout artist in today’s world music scene. Whether leading with her laouto or harmonizing in song, she brings an authenticity and passion that captivates audiences."

"Platform 1 produce music that is uniquely beautiful. Like a bright red tie in a room full of beige, their songs have a brilliant uniqueness. With chord structures from Josh containing a subtle chromaticism blended with Martha's faultless vocal they are one of a kind. "
