"I'm a bit late writing this review but me and my wife had The Distance for our wedding on the 4th April, they were absolutely fantastic such a good band got everyone up and dancing. They were able to cover a wide range of songs there is something for everyone. Our 1st dance song the killers Mr brightside one word wow, prefer the distance accoustic version over the original if you need a band then book the distance you will not be disappointed."

"Had a rocking great night with Denis doing his live show and Denis on the decks for my partners 60th birthday party in the garden. Denis was punctual and professional as usual and everybody have come back to me saying what a great night was had by all. No small thanks to Denis playing 6 hours. "Paul plays every month at our venu. Our clientel range from 30s to 60s and every time Paul engages with the customers and plays requests if he knows the songs. He plays a wide range of music/songs to suit everyone. He also has a good following to his gigs. A great choice for events and birthdays . "

"Well now I need to go and plan another event just to have Drew back, so I can enjoy his music a little longer ha ha. That is, if you love the harmonica, guitar and the blues dobro, I could listen to it all day. On a serious note, my memorial event for my father who passed was MADE because Drew was able to take one of my Dads songs he wrote and make it come alive. Along with singing other chosen special songs too, (amazing Grace on the dobro was something I didn’t know I needed) it made the whole event. I was so thankful for the extra time and care he took with the song, and working with me! Definitely recommend Drew, you won’t be disappointed!"

"The Distance played at our companies 10th anniversary event. We absolutely loved them and have had comments from both staff and clients since the event. They really made our night unique. They were professional, kept in contact (we even booked them at really short notice and they were so SO helpful!), and honestly just made the night special. "Harmonica Lewinsky, half musician, half comedian, can't be filed easily under any one genre. There are no "rawk" anthems or jangly pop toons to guide you to a familiar sense of comfy numbness you may well be used to in your local music venue. Instead, you get a proper show. Someone - that's Phil Leiwy, crazy alchemist of alter-ego Lewinsky - has taken it upon himself to create a crisp set of upbeat, rhythmic gems played on guitar (choppy, jazzy, mellow), vocals (smooth, welcoming) and of course, a boxload of harmonicas (swanky, tuneful, engaging). But words alone seem unable to explain why, after a HL gig, you go home feeling as if you have been crane-lifted out of a ditch... If you haven't seen HL play, go and see for yourself, and let the performance into your life. Careful listening really helps: the lyrics to many of Phil's songs - including Gordon Brown (to the tune of the Stranglers' "Golden Brown") - are wry, clever and occasionally rude. Lovers of X-Factor stability or other social brainwashing techniques may leave feeling confused."
