Review Centre: Rock 'n' Roll Bands

"Nigel and the Hound Dogs recently played at our wedding. Nigel played a wonderful acoustic set post ceremony and had some of the younger guests entranced sitting cross legged in front of him. We were honoured that the band learnt a new song for our first dance, something we will always remember. The band were fantastic and had everyone up on the dance floor and enjoying themselves throughout their sets. Nigel has provided clear communication throughout and is an absolute gent. Our guests said they were the best wedding band they’d ever seen. Many thanks Hound Dogs!"

"These guys have played at our venue a couple of times and ech tome the crowd loved them. Fun band who play standard rock n roll songs alongside more modern songs that they do in their own style. Brilliant "

"Made in Ireland" is the name of the festival, but it only features one real Irishman. Gavin Carpenter travels directly from Dublin to Neu-Ulm. Squeezed into his tour schedule between two gigs in Dublin's Temple Bar pub district. His motto in Neu-Ulm as well: "No Fillers, only Killers." With a best-of-Irish folk, from traditional hits like "Back Home in Derry" to hits by the Pogues, Carpenter goes from zero to 100. Remarkably, the Johnny Cash look-alike would also pass for a double of the "Man in Black" vocally with his covers. "

"“The best covers band I have ever heard!” We lost count of the number of guests that said this to us at our wedding on Friday. The first time we heard Nigel and his band play, we knew they were exactly what we were looking for. Throughout the whole process Nigel was at the end of an email, promptly answering any questions I had about their set and the logistics of the day. Brides-to-be if you want a band that will take the music side of things off your shoulders, keep your guests entertained and end the night with everybody not wanting to leave the dance floor and asking for more, then the Hound Dogs are the band for you. Also, special thanks to Nigel & Steve who played a personal, acoustic rendition of my Dad’s favourite song. It is a memory we will treasure forever. Thank you so much for making our day so special. "Their musical talent, And all around genuine nice guys! And they don’t do what most 50s 60s rock ‘n’ roll bands do ... go off on their own tangent , they stick to the agenda and they do it SO well !! You can actually dance to all their amazing music! 🎤🎸🥁🎸🥰 Wait ‘til you hear “Cry to me” ! A standing ovation the first time they performed it ! 😍 We love this band, It proves you don’t need quantity, just quality! We even had them play at our wedding last year! 10/10 💃🕺 "

"I first saw Get Back Duo playing at another venue in Perth and booked them on the spot for my birthday party. They were absolutely fantastic — everyone loved the night and they sounded awesome. The feedback from my guests was so good that a close friend of mine booked them for her dad’s birthday soon after. I’m already looking for the next excuse to have them back."

"Dear Lisa, Martin & the band, Thank you all so, so much for the performance you put in at our wedding. We were so lucky with the food, drink, marquee etc but are convinced that if one thing cemented the evenings success it was the absolutely brilliant display by you guys. We loved it, everyone we have spoken to loved it and not only that but the organising of the band, because of Lisa's efficiency, was an absolute pleasure. "The very best classic rock band. There are not enough words to say how impressed I was with this band. All the members where polite and very professional. The music was perfect. They work very well together. Everyone of our guests enjoyed the music very much. I’m looking forward to having them play at our next event. If you’re looking for a classic rock band that plays the songs we all know and love than this is the band to get. Flashback is a band that is tight and right. These guys are great!!!
