"Over the years Spectra have used Bob Ferguson, and his bands Celtic Horizon, and Beggars Row to entertain many of our corporate clients. Bob is a natural charmer, has a great voice and delivers many traditional, and more contemporary songs with great style. He always has fun on stage, loves to interact with guests, and uniquely can always be relied on to read the room so that audiences feel they are part of the experience. We love having Bob play for our clients!"

"Dear Dave, Mike and Gerry Thank you so much again for playing at our wedding last month. All our guests are still mentioning how awesome the music/entertainment was, particularly as so many of them had never experienced a ceilidh before. They sincerely loved it. (Despite being a bit exhausted by the end of the night.) I have attached some photos from the wedding, that I thought you might like to use on your website/facebook page. Although if possible, when showing the photos please can I ask that you mention our photographer Lee Ovenden of Sophotogenic Wedding Photography as the one who made them. "Wonderful entertainer, a real crowd pleaser December, 3rd, 2023 Bob sang for my mum’s 90th birthday celebration and was a hit with young(er) and old alike. He has a great voice and is also an entertaining story teller. His performance was the highlight of the night for my mum. Highly recommended. "

"I've just want to say what a fantastic evening we had dancing at the Ceilidh. We were visiting Edinburgh for a special birthday on Burns night as I'd always wanted to celebrate it in Scotland. Though our kids / young adults (13 & 16) were the youngest there, we were all warmly welcomed. The music was great, the calling helped us get to grips with the dances, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you! Thanks again for an amazing night."

"We had such good feedback about your performance! Everyone that came had a great time and that’s definitely down to the superb music and also the very well-explained and inclusive calling. I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. "The Brogues provided our wedding in Largs with 5 hours of fun Ceilidh and disco dancing at a very affordable price - I don't think they could have been beaten on value. We had friendly Grace on keyboard and sweet Alan on fiddle, and together they produced that distinct Scottish Ceilidh sound, beautifully. They played a well-balanced mix of group and couples dances, interspersed with well needed refreshment breaks, and concluded the Ceilidh with EVERYBODY on the dance floor for the head-dizzying 'Strip the Willow'. Grace did an amazing job on the mic, explaining the various dance routines and keeping everybody right. For many of our guests it was their first Ceilidh experience, and the Brogues certainly made it one we all will never forget. Everybody smiled and perspired heavily - a sure sign of thorough enjoyment! Our first dance was made extra special, with Grace and Alan performing a very romantic cover of 'How Long Will I Love You' - which would honestly not have sounded better had Ellie Goulding been there to sing it herself! The evening was then rounded off with a disco of songs, superbly mixed, from our chosen playlist. Grace and Alan, thanks again. You were lovely and truly helped us have the best wedding possible! Highest recommendations from Stephen & Daffne."

"I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Dave, Mike and Gerry who form The Berking Mad Band. This is the third event that we have booked them for and once again it was a massive success. They are always reliable and turn up on time. They set up the equipment with no fuss and are very adaptable to any type of event whether it be a Burns Night, a Ceilidh, a Wedding or a Birthday Party. Dave is incredibly patient at giving instructions to those who are novice dancers and even goes out onto the dance floor to help people with the dance steps. They cater for all abilities, young and old! Dave encourages people to get up to dance without being too intrusive and has a good sense of humour which makes people laugh and enjoy the night. Everyone who has been to our events where The Berking Mad Band have played have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have always been very positive about this band.
