"The Distance played at our companies 10th anniversary event. We absolutely loved them and have had comments from both staff and clients since the event. They really made our night unique. They were professional, kept in contact (we even booked them at really short notice and they were so SO helpful!), and honestly just made the night special. Fantastic at their craft, the loveliest and most down to earth people, worked around speeches etc. Highly recommend! Thanks Soph and Mat! "

"Denis has been a regular performer at our Golden Memories programme held at Watford Football Club, and each time he brings fun and fantastic music. If you’re looking for a performer who interacts with the audience and delivers great entertainment, book Denis! He’s always reliable, and we highly recommend him to everyone. The ladies and gents at our sessions are always calling out for one more song and can’t wait for his next performance."

"I still cannot believe we met The Distance at Janine's party and that they were able to make Fran’s 60th Birthday celebrations last Saturday 10 May 2014 & made his dream of having live music at his party come true. Matt & Sophiee, you were so accommodating and fitted perfectly into our home. All our 80+ guests of family & friends of all ages loved your music and danced the night away. We cannot wait to see you again & Fran is already planning our next party! Fran & Fay xxxx"

"The band arrived in great time and were very communicative before hand. They set up and did a great show for our campers. The campers were aged between 7 and 17 and all of them loved the experience. The guys were really friendly and interacted with the campers who wanted to speak to them after. Highly recommended and we will be looking to make it an annual thing at camp."

"Armed with a whole case of Blues Harps and one or two trusty Guitars, Harmonica always provides a brilliant few hours of musical entertainment. He's become a firm favourite in the Cole household and we aren't ashamed to say we've become groupies, following him across London to venues just like this. He seems to have an almost infinite amount of songs in his repertoire, ranging from Cockney classics to Country ballads and lots more besides. Your feet begin to tap the moment he starts his set and by the end you've normally ground a hole into the pub carpet! Thoroughly recommended!"

"Ottima musica Abbiamo chiamato LOVEAFFAIRE DUO (Brian & Serena) per il nostro matrimonio, dopo che ce ne eravamo innamorati a quello di una nostra cugina. Tutti gli ospiti ci hanno fatto i complimenti, playlist ottima e performance da brividi. Great music We called LOVEAFFAIRE DUO (Brian & Serena) for our wedding, after we fell in love with them at our cousin's wedding. "Drew Marler's musical style is a homogeneous mixture of the solo troubadour sounds of Dylan, and Young, the power of Nirvana and Janes Addiction, the soul of Al Green and Marvin Gaye, the improvisation of jazz and jam, psychedelic experimentation, and intricately woven harmonies, but it is always deeply rooted with the folk, blues heritage.” ( Washington, Ga. newspaper )"

"This was the second occasion it's been my pleasure to watch Harmonica Lewinsky at the Green Dragon and certainly won't be the last. The venue itself is a good old-fashioned local that, unlike many in the area, hasn't been gentrified but is cosy, friendly and intimate. The trio were absolutely brilliant, put smiles on the faces of everyone present and there was much foot-tapping and singing-along. I look forward to the next time."

"This band is awesome. It's really cool to hear some of the songs from 90s movies and other media. They made a 2 and half hour long party with funny show elements in between the songs. Big up!"

"Harmonica Lewinsky, half musician, half comedian, can't be filed easily under any one genre. There are no "rawk" anthems or jangly pop toons to guide you to a familiar sense of comfy numbness you may well be used to in your local music venue. Instead, you get a proper show. Someone - that's Phil Leiwy, crazy alchemist of alter-ego Lewinsky - has taken it upon himself to create a crisp set of upbeat, rhythmic gems played on guitar (choppy, jazzy, mellow), vocals (smooth, welcoming) and of course, a boxload of harmonicas (swanky, tuneful, engaging). But words alone seem unable to explain why, after a HL gig, you go home feeling as if you have been crane-lifted out of a ditch... If you haven't seen HL play, go and see for yourself, and let the performance into your life. Careful listening really helps: the lyrics to many of Phil's songs - including Gordon Brown (to the tune of the Stranglers' "Golden Brown") - are wry, clever and occasionally rude. Lovers of X-Factor stability or other social brainwashing techniques may leave feeling confused."
