Live jazz groups bring a polished, adaptable sound to weddings and events near you. These professional musicians handle everything from soft background music during dinner to high-energy dance sets, adjusting their repertoire and volume to suit your venue and occasion. Most jazz acts offer flexible lineup sizes, so a trio that plays your cocktail hour can expand to a quintet or larger group for the evening.
The most popular format is a three or four-piece jazz group for wedding receptions and corporate functions, with a classic combination of piano or guitar, bass, drums and sometimes saxophone or vocals. Smaller duos work well for ceremonies and intimate settings, while larger ensembles with brass and dedicated vocalists suit bigger venues and dance-focused events. Many jazz musicians locally also offer themed sets, including 1920s Gatsby-era jazz, bossa nova, and modern pop songs rearranged in a swing style.
Jazz bands in Besançon currently range from €170 for smaller ensembles to €2,050+ for larger groups or extended performances, with an average booking cost of €600. Price typically reflects the number of musicians, set length, travel requirements, and any custom arrangements. Trios and quartets offer good value for most events, while full big band setups command a higher fee but deliver a richer, more dynamic sound.
The average price for Jazz Bands available in Besançon, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France is €600 (EUR). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.
Ladies of Jazz and Swing
"Dagmar and her accompanist are the real deal. While deciding who to hire I watched her videos on here performing to larger crowds but we hired her to perform for just nine people prior to a dinner party and they did not disappoint. Dagmar's inimitable sultry vocals as well as her repertoire are perfect for this genre of music and her professional playful nature was felt by everyone. Her piano player was truly transcendent providing intervals of technique and skill you don't often find with accompanist. They also were very accommodating with song selection and timing during the evening.
We all loved them!"
Marcella Jones & Brown Liquor Band
"I've seen them perform twice and they put on a great show! They have not disappointed. The lead singer, Marcella, is a lot of fun."
NoNi Trio
Solo Saxophone Smooth Jazz Artist
"Gabriel played at our function and was absolutely fantastic! His music was exactly what we were looking for and created the perfect atmosphere for the event. He was professional, talented and really understood the vibe we wanted. Thank you, Gabriel — you played brilliantly and we would definitely recommend you!"
Kymotopia
"I was thrilled when Kymotopia agreed to play at our wedding, and they somehow exceeded all expectations.
Jean-Nöel and Joseph were incredibly accommodating from start to finish, happily taking on special requests, including learning specific pieces especially for us, and even helping out with a few extra things on the day. We asked them to perform some of these learned pieces at key moments during the ceremony and they absolutely nailed it. "A World of Waves" (their first album) is forever going to be a musical portal for me back to that special day.
These two are fantastic musicians and wonderful to work with. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!"
Brazilian Bossa Jazz Band
"The trio was fantastic, professional, and talented. The music added the perfect touch to our special day. Highly recommended!"
