"JUSTIN MADE OUR WEDDING SO SPECIAL! 💕 We absolutely love Justin! Without him, our wedding would not have been nearly as special as it was. Our experience with Justin started with a an online search for a ukelele player to play & sing “ Slow Boat to China” by Jimmy Buffett instead of “Here comes the Bride” ( as a surprise for my soon to be hubby, Rich). I GOT ZERO HITS WITH THAT SEARCH-but some general guitarists/musicians came up. When I saw Justin’s videos online and heard his incredible voice and easy demeanor, I contacted him. He said he DID play the Ukelele and could play that and 2 other songs I hoped to include in the ceremony. Justin learned and mastered those 3 songs just for our wedding! PLUS he also added a bunch of other Buffet songs to his already extensive and eclectic repertoire. As Justin and I messaged back and forth with plans, his enthusiasm, effort, planning and desire to make our day really special was astounding. Within hours, I knew we had found not only a very talented young musician, but a very special “old soul.” Rich and I are “Old-ly Weds” and just had a small ceremony and reception with friends and family. Whether they were 8, 18, or 28 to 88, Justin delighted our guests. When we insisted he take a break our guests couldn’t wait to talk to and get to know him. Justin is an absolutely amazing musician as well as a great person. He feels like family now! You’d be hard-pressed to find a more talented musician and all around wonderful and fun person as we found in Justin Turk! We give him 100 thumbs up, and we encourage him to raise his prices!"

"The Distance played at our companies 10th anniversary event. We absolutely loved them and have had comments from both staff and clients since the event. They really made our night unique. They were professional, kept in contact (we even booked them at really short notice and they were so SO helpful!), and honestly just made the night special. Fantastic at their craft, the loveliest and most down to earth people, worked around speeches etc. Highly recommend! Thanks Soph and Mat! "

"We booked the distance for several shows at Shaw Hill golf and spa hotel for Christmas 2015. What a fantastic group! The guests loved them the energy was amazing and songs out of this world they obviously spent time putting together a solid song to ensure a wide ranging audience was kept entertained. "We hired the Ukes of Hazard Band for a non-profit Jubilee event and they were fabulous. The pre-communication and the band itself was terrific. We went with a 4-piece band with a 'Mumford style' and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you."

"Denis Cook is the perfect pub and bar-room entertainer: genial, charming and chatty with a charismatic personality, so it's not surprising that the sumptuous Haven Wine Bar & Restaurant in Whetstone booked Denis for several gigs, since he's the ideal 'mine host' for this exclusive venue, encouraging the guests to join in and have a fun time. With many strings to his bow, in addition to singing Denis plays guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and kazoo, but his greatest claim to fame is that he taught his nephew Norman Cook, alias Fatboy Slim, to DJ! (Denis has been 'spinning discs' since 1969 and the young Norman was soon hooked on music too!) Though perhaps not the greatest instrumentalist to perform on stage, Denis more than makes up for this with his highly tuneful singing voice, careful selection of material and infectious personality. Skill and experience gained through years of DJing shines through in Denis's easy command of banter between numbers, putting many other pub acts to shame, and his sheer dedication to entertaining others certainly evidenced in this three-hour gig undertaken with hardly a break. Starting with the Eagles' country ditty "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and a stripped-down version of the Foundations' "Baby Now That I've Found You" guests knew they were in for something special, loving the laid-back, peaceful easy listening style and the fact that the music was at a very reasonable volume: no blasting speakers here! Then, after just three songs, self-accompanied by guitar, Denis popped out his mandolin for a very enjoyable rendition of the Kinks' "Tired Of Waiting For You" and Steve Earle's Irish classic "Galway Girl" before switching to the ukulele for a charming interpretation of McFly's wistful "Love Is Easy" but, in addition, you'll find plenty of variety in Denis's act, ranging from party numbers like the Mavericks' "Dance The Night Away" and Roxy Music's "Let's Stick Together" to country classics such as Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" and John Denver's "Take Me Home Country Roads" to up-to-date material like George Ezra's catchy "Budapest" as well as some good old rock 'n roll. And - how many performers would be brave enough to attempt Rupert Holmes' excellent "Escape" (The Pina Colada Song); the late Ronnie Lane's rocking "Ooh La La" or Billy Ray Cyrus' witty comedy number "Where Am I Gonna Live?!" Mr Cook will be returning to the Haven soon and my advice is that you might want to reserve a table, since the place is likely to be well be packed in anticipation of this great entertainer. "The Ukes of Hazzard performed at our wedding ceremony and reception, and absolutely set the tone for a night to remember. Everything was smooth and professional and we loved the selection of songs. Guests constantly commented on how special they made the occasion, and what a unique and fun band they were. Would highly recommend booking the Ukes of Hazzard for your event if you’re looking something a bit different that guests and attendees will absolutely love!"
