Review Centre: Vintage Themed Bands

"For my 40th, I had a 1920s themed party in a beautiful 1920s ballroom in Letchworth Garden City. I can honestly say that the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the party was the 5 piece Silk Street Jazz band. I felt like I had stepped back in time. They were absolutely wonderful – truly superb – and contributed to one of the very best nights of my life. They were extremely professional, flexible and accommodating (even happy to accompany a last minute request from my husband to sing with them!) and really looked dapper in their gorgeous red waistcoats. They did an outstanding job – what a talented group of gents! Thank you Silk Street Jazz"

"As a great lover of Gipsyjazz for over 40 years, I went to a great concert of the Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet last weekend with the addition of two world famous musicians on violin and guitar, Tim Kliphuis and Mozes Rosenberg. The six-piece formation brought a great ode to gipsyjazz with beautiful solos on guitar and violin and also beautiful subdued numbers sung by Marcia Bamberg. It was a great experience and a recommendation for everyone who loves gypsy jazz to visit future concerts."

"We stopped by to see Miss Pearl do her Paloma Faith tribute act at the Milbourne Arms in Carlisle, last night. Miss Pearl was on point, singing all of Paloma's hits and some of her less known songs. She has an excellent voice and also did some of her vintage songs aswell. It was a thoroughly enjoyable night and we even had a dance. We will hopefully see Miss Pearl again soon, as we want to book her for an up-and-coming private party."

"What a fantastic singer beautiful voice and amazing personality. Ruby lit up our event and had everyone singing along. We as a Community group would recommend her. Our event was to celebrate Harlow's 70th Birthday and she took the celebration to a higher league. Love by all our guests."

"15:08 Lorraine and the Flames are hands down one of the best groups I've heard in a long time. We were hosting an outdoor Jazz and BBQ evening and the guys couldn't have been more amazing! The music was perfect and Lorraine's voice is sublime. They set the atmosphere and mood from the moment they started, and so many of our guests commented on how wonderful they were. "Brilliant saw Roxie at the Druids Head Brighton a bundle of fun very friendly,played many requests very good singer and musician played all different types of songs and music ,I think most people in that night were interacting with her and enjoying themselves would recommend her would travel to see her."

"In a word... FABULOUS! These guys gave us just the sound we needed for our fun Prohibition-theme wedding. It is now two weeks later, and all we keep hearing is "Man, that band was fantastic!" They are worth the asking price (which is very reasonable to begin with!) Steve Curry is a great guy and very easy to deal with. I would recommend them without any reservations."
