Going on holiday or taking a break? Holiday mode lets you step away without losing your place on Gig Heaven. You can auto-reply to anyone who messages you and, if you want, temporarily hide your listing from search until you are back. Your listing is never deactivated, and everything switches back on automatically.
Go to your Availability page (from My Account, click the Availability button for your listing), switch on Holiday mode, pick a start date and an end date, and write a short away message.
When you turn holiday mode on, you choose what happens while you are away:
If you have more than one listing, you will see an option to apply these settings to all your listings. Tick it to put every one of your active listings into holiday mode with the same dates, away message and mode in one go, instead of setting each one separately.
Anyone who messages you while you are away gets your away message posted straight into the conversation as a reply from you so both you and the customer can see they have been told you are away. It is sent once per conversation. Like any message it is checked by our moderation, so please keep it to a general "I am away until ..." note: contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses and web links are removed automatically.
While you are away you will not get "please reply to this enquiry" reminder emails, or "improve your listing" prompts.
People you are already talking to, and anyone with a direct link to your listing, can still message you normally (and get your away reply). Hiding only affects search.
Your holiday dates automatically show as unavailable on your public listing's calendar for the duration, so customers can see at a glance when you are away.
On your end date, holiday mode switches off by itself: your listing reappears in search (if it was hidden), and we email you to confirm you are live again.
