How to remove your account (or hide/delete your listing)

Just need a break, not a permanent goodbye? If you only want to stop taking bookings for a while, you don't have to remove your account. Turn on Holiday mode instead — temporarily hide your listing from search (or keep it live with an away auto-reply), then have everything switch back on automatically when you return, with your listing, reviews and history all kept.

You can request your account be deleted at any time. Email us from your registered email address with the subject line Remove.

admin@gigheaven.com

Sending the request from the email address on your account confirms it's really you. If your registered email isn't accessible any more, contact us first to verify your identity another way.

What gets deleted

We remove your personal data from your account: name, email, mobile, address, login records, marketing preferences, and listing content (for suppliers).

What stays

For legal, financial, and trust-and-safety reasons, some records are kept in anonymised form — for example a record that a contract existed and what was paid. None of this contains your personal details once your account is deleted.

For the full picture of what data we hold and how to update it without deleting your account, see Your data and privacy.

Hiding your listing instead of removing your account

If you only want to take a break and aren't sure you want to leave for good, you don't need to remove your account or delete anything. Turn on Holiday mode from your My Account page: set the dates you are away, add an away message, and choose either to hide your listing from search or to keep it live with an auto-reply. It all switches back on by itself on your return date, so your listing, reviews and history stay exactly as they were. See Holiday mode for the full details.

If you want to completely delete your listing (whilst keeping your account), visit your account and click the Delete Listing button.
